Here's the next motif I'm making. I'm not exactly sure what it is but looks like a flower with a leaf on each side! The pattern is in symbol form. The red line shows where the padding cord goes along with the stitches. The red arrows show where the pattern begins and ends. I probably have some Irish crochet tutorials on Crochetology.net. Vintage patterns are in the public domain, so those were the first patterns I used in crochet. This little bag was one of my early projects in 2007. The bag is called Princess Louise No 275 and was published in 1917 by Corticelli Silk Mills in Florence, Mass., USA.

Today I started with no 8 mercerized cotton thread and 1.2mm steel hook. I had to file away the rust off the hook before I could start crocheting. I guess things tend to rust and disintegrate if we don't use them for a long time. If you'd like to make this bag, do join me!

For the anxious, depressed, alienated, traumtized person seeking "treatment" in the realm of psychology, the menu of psychological techniques are essentially the same. It is centered upon facilitating a relational environment, usually between the therapist and the client, aimed at building the client's confidence through a deeper understanding of themselves. Most of humanistic, experiential, person-centered, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapies rely upon the principle that self-awareness and self-realization are essential in the therapeutic process.

This is the complete opposite of biblical Christianity.

In "Why Worry? God's in Charge!",* Alistair Begg depicts the anguished man coming to psychotherapy and there he is told to run into the self, the only retreat of a crumbling world. Jesus does the absolute reverse. He said look away from yourself, seek first the Kingdom.
