πŸ‡΅πŸ‡­ According to Republic Act 8491 (RA 8491) the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines. The law states that the flag "shall not be used in whole or in part as a costume or uniform".
Wearing the Philippine flag as clothing, costume or uniform is not allowed. Plus, you can't use it as drapes, tablecloths, or for decoration either.

This is the reason why, during Buwan ng Wika, students are encouraged to wear traditional Filipino garments such as barong, filipiniana, baro't saya or costumes inspired by our culture, not dresses that feature patterns of the national flag.

To respect the flag is to honor it as a representation of our nation, rather than treating it as a mere fashion accessory.
