Jessa's Bizarre

Jessa's Bizarre Books and Fibre Butuan City in the 90s didn't have decent bookshops except for Alemar's which was a school and office supply store in reality.

There were books sold here and there in Otis but the books were juvenile; Sweet Valley High, Fear Street, and Goosebumps, and Archie comics. I liked Archie comics but Goosebumps was my favorite. It made me stay awake late at night thinking about the stories. A cousin from Cebu tagged me along she said she likes to explore cities and it was her first time in Butuan. We stumbled upon Joyce's Bazaar which, unfortunately, I've forgotten the original location when I was 12. (Help, anyone?) It had new and secondhand books, toys, board games, and collectibles. It kind of reminded me of Stephen King's Needful Things minus the killings. The store became my favorite store in my city. Hence the name of my bookshop.
