Plastic straws may soon become extinct, together with plastic coffee stirrers, as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources is gearing toward banning these items declared as non-environmentally acceptable products.

To the peace activists, feminists, stray dog adopters, teachers, volunteers, foster carers, recyclers, givers, doers and believers, I say thank you.
