• Romans → Marble tanks & water gardens, often keeping fish for the table.

🏛 The Victorian Era:
• Birth of ornamental aquariums in homes.
• Creation of the first public aquaria.
• Early science of fishkeeping → Robert Warrington studied tank cycling.

🌿 From sacred ponds of ancient times to today’s planted tanks, fishkeeping has always been a blend of nature, culture, and wonder.
