🕊️ 25 YEARS AGO, THE WORLD STOPPED FOR A MOMENT.
September 11, 2001.
Maybe some of us were already adults that time.
Maybe some were still kids.
And for the younger generation, it may just be another date in a history book.
But for those who witnessed it…
dili gyud nato malimtan.
Four airplanes were hijacked.
Two crashed into the World Trade Center in New York.
One hit the Pentagon.
And another crashed in Pennsylvania after brave passengers and crew members fought back.
Almost 3,000 people never came home that day.
Mga amahan.
Mga inahan.
Mga anak.
Mga asawa ug bana.
Mga ordinaryong tawo nga niadto lang unta sa trabaho.
They left home that morning thinking they would come back.
Pero wala na sila nakauli.
And perhaps one of the most heartbreaking things about 9/11 is this:
While thousands were desperately trying to escape…
firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders were running toward the danger.
They knew it was dangerous.
They knew they might not make it out.
But they went anyway.
Mao na ang tinuod nga courage.
Dili kay walay kahadlok.
But because even when they were afraid, they chose to help.
đź’” Unsa man gyud ang leksyon sa September 11?
It taught us that life can change in a single moment.
Sometimes we complain about small things.
Sometimes we postpone saying “I love you.”
Sometimes we think, “Ugma na lang.”
But September 11 reminds us…
Walay garantiya ang ugma.
So hug your family a little tighter.
Forgive someone if you can.
Call your parents.
Tell the people you love that you love them.
Because the people who left their homes that morning never knew it would be their last goodbye.
And 9/11 also taught us something else:
Hatred should never be answered with more hatred.
We should remember the victims without blaming innocent people because of their religion, race, or nationality.
Because terrorism has no excuse.
And innocent people should never become victims twice—first through violence, and then through hatred.
🕊️ 25 years have passed.
Buildings were rebuilt.
Cities moved forward.
A new generation was born.
But the names of those who died remain.
And as the years go by, remembering becomes even more important.
Not because we want to live in fear…
but because we want to live better.
More compassionate.
More united.
More willing to help.
More grateful for every ordinary day.
Because sometimes, an ordinary Tuesday…
is actually a gift.
September 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🕊️
Not just the tragedy.
Remember the courage.
Remember the lives.
Remember the families.
Remember the humanity.
And most importantly…
remember the lesson.
🙏🕊️ 25 years later, we remember.
