“Pang-bading daw ang pickleball.” 😂

Okay lang. Kasi dahil sa “pang-bading na larong ‘to,” na sinasabi niyo, yung mga tropa kong halos buong araw nakaupo sa harap ng computer para maglaro, ngayon nagiging active na. (Mas magastos daw kasi gusto lagi ng new paddle lol)🤣

Yung mga kaibigan ko noong high school na matagal ko nang hindi nakakasama, ngayon parang may mini reunion kami sa court at nagkikita kita. 🎉

At marami pang ibang tao na dahil sa pickleball, nagkaroon ng bagong circle, bagong friends, at dahilan para lumabas ng bahay at gumalaw.

So you can hate pickleball all you want. You can call it whatever you want.

But you can’t deny what this game does—it keeps people active, brings old friends back together, creates new friendships, and gives people a reason to show up.

At the end of the day, hindi lang naman ito tungkol sa laro. It’s about the people you get to play it with. 🥒💗

I’ve tried golf, was part of the Arnis team in high school, and played basketball from high school all the way through college. But somehow, there’s just something about pickleball. 💜

Maybe it’s the game, the people, the community—or the way it keeps making me want to come back for one more rally. Lovin' every moment of it!

WE DON’T DESERVE THIS!

Every month, we pay our taxes. We work, we contribute, and we do our part. But what do we get in return?

Every time severe flooding happens, we hear the same excuses:
“Mas malakas ang buhos ng ulan kumpara sa mga nakaraan.”

Yes, heavy rain happens. Malala din naman sa ibang bansa, but are we really going to keep using the rain as an excuse every single time? Where are the long-term solutions? Where is the proper drainage? Where is the flood-control planning? Where is the preparedness? Ginawa na un drainage, pero ganito pa rin? Parang mas lumala pa.

This isn’t just about flooded streets. People’s lives are at risk.

Families are terrified for their safety. Children and elderly people are stranded. Residents are forced to turn to social media, begging for rescue and help because they have nowhere else to turn.

We shouldn’t have to accept this as normal.
We shouldn’t have to pray that the next rainfall isn’t strong enough to flood our homes.

We deserve better. We pay our taxes. We do our part. Now it’s time for those in charge to do theirs.
