Here's my Bangkok, Thailand toy guide and hunting experience this year, ranked in must go order:
1. Mega Plaza Saphan Lek (900 Maha Chai Rd, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon)
-the largest toy mall in Thailand, serving as a 6 multi-floor "geek paradise" for collectors, anime fans, and vintage hobbyists. Located on the edge of Bangkok's Chinatown.
- nearesr MRT Station: SAM YOT
-Must go around afternoon after lunch, shops closes early around 5pm.
2. MBK Center (444 Phaya Thai Rd, Wang Mai)
-shopping mall that houses the following toyshops at 6th & 7th floors:
PLAMO Village (7th Floor) authentic Japanese model kits,Gunpla
Toytopia (7th Floor) blind/surprise boxes, kids' gifts
Timmy Toys (Upper Floors) doll collectors Blythe dolls.
Hobby Master
3. Gundam Base Thailand (1st Floor Siam Center, Khwaeng Pathum Wan, Pathum Wan, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon)
-PBandai and Gunpla Model kits
-Got Tamashii, some toy and hobby shops beside.
4. Siam Paragon Department Store Kids Planet 3rd floor (991 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan) -toys, clothes
5. Toys R Us Bangkok, located in these malls:
-centralwOrld Mall 6th Floor (999/9 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan)
-Iconsiam Mall 5th Floor (Somdet Chao Phraya Rd, Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San)
6. Bang Sue Junction Shopping Center 5th Floor (511 Kamphaeng Phet 2 Rd, Chatuchak)
-toys, vinyl records, cds, vintage thrift and antiques mall
