Did you know that the secret to an exceptional chocolate experience starts on the farm—with the cacao tree?

At our farm, diversity is key. We've planted a blend of exquisite Trinitario and local heirloom Criollo cacao trees. Why? Because different varieties encourage cross-pollination which leads to a richer gene pool and, ultimately, more complex flavor profiles in your favorite chocolate drink.

This dedication not only contributes to the sustainability of cacao crops but also ensures that every sip of our tablea you take is a symphony of flavors.

Join us in celebrating the wonders of cacao diversity and savor the difference in every tablea sourced from our orchards. Who knew biodiversity could taste so good?

Did you know our cacao trees are thriving beautifully, even beyond the expected harvest season? Yes, you heard it right!

Here at our cacao farm, we're not just about growing cacao; we're about nurturing nature. By adopting permaculture practices, our cacao trees grow in harmony with the existing fruit bearing tree canopy, protected from the harsh and dry conditions brought on by El Niño.

And guess what? Even though it's late April, a time when cacao farms are usually quiet, ours are bustling with life and bountiful harvests. We're out there, harvesting every all year round!

This is more than just farming; it's a commitment to sustainable, life-enriching agriculture that respects our planet and provides you with the finest cacao.

Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes looks at how we make chocolaty magic happen every day.

Sikwate (Filipino Hot Chocolate)

The Cebuano version of hot chocolate, sikwate (“sik-wah-teh”) is the closest you'll get to drinking pure, raw chocolate. It starts with tableya de cacao (literally “tablets” of cacao), made from cacao (cocoa) beans that are dried, roasted, milled, and then hand-formed into tablets.

“Tree-to-bar” defines a chocolate maker that also produces his/her own cacao beans. This implicates that the chocolate maker owns a piece of land where cacao is cultivated, fermented, and dried. The cocoa beans coming from this farm are then transformed into bean-to-bar chocolate, following a chocolate making process that preserves all the best natural flavors and unique characteristics of the local fine cacao. Some of the most important aspects of tree-to-bar chocolate are control, transparency and traceability, allowing chocolate makers to offer an ethical and sustainable product.
