Skincare often lasts 6-12 months after opening. Look for the PAO (period after opening) symbol on the packaging (open jar with a M for months).

Therefore, kahit malayo pa ang expiration date but nabuksan muna ng mas maaga and umabot ng 12M, toss the item already.

Discharge if there are any changes in smell, color, or texture, especially with jarred product that are easily contaminated. Active compounds such as retinol and vitamin C may only last 3-6 months, whereas cleansers can last longer.

This is why I can recommend Korean skincare; the PAO is listed on the label.
