PAL BRINGS BACK DIRECT SAPPORO FLIGHTS FOR WINTER

Filipino travelers will have a direct way to reach Hokkaido again as Philippine Airlines brings back its seasonal Manila-Sapporo flights for the winter 2026 travel season.

The nonstop service will operate three times weekly from November 23, 2026 to March 26, 2027, with flights landing at New Chitose Airport. The route removes the need for connecting flights, making it easier for passengers to reach Sapporo during one of Japan’s busiest winter periods.

Sapporo offers a different kind of Japan trip for travelers who have already visited Tokyo, Osaka, or Fukuoka. The city is known for snow, winter festivals, local food, and a more relaxed travel experience. Its Snow Festival and Hokkaido cuisine make it a strong choice for year-end holidays.

PAL will use its Airbus A321neo on the route. Passengers can expect a full-service experience that includes Business Class seats, inflight entertainment, Wi-Fi, and onboard service suited for medium-haul travel.

The airline already has the widest Japan network among carriers flying between the Philippines and Japan. PAL serves Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Tokyo Haneda, and Tokyo Narita, with direct Cebu flights to Osaka Kansai and Tokyo Narita.

PAL will also add more flights on its Manila-Osaka and Manila-Narita routes from December 19 to January 11 for the Christmas and peak holiday travel period.

Aside from passenger travel, the Sapporo route will support cargo movement between Japan and the Philippines, adding more space for goods while strengthening tourism and trade links between both markets.

CEBU PACIFIC BRINGS BACK MANILA TO DUBAI FLIGHTS

Cebu Pacific will resume its Manila to Dubai flights on July 2, 2026, after completing safety assessments and coordination with Dubai airport authorities.

The airline said flights 5J 14/15 and 5J 18/19, covering Manila-Dubai-Manila services, will return to operation. Cebu Pacific will fly the route four times weekly, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Passengers whose Dubai flights were canceled may rebook through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website.

The airline also continues to operate Manila to Riyadh flights four times weekly every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Riyadh to Manila flights are scheduled every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Cebu Pacific reminded passengers to check their flight status before going to the airport and to keep their contact details updated so they can receive flight advisories on time.

Passengers with other questions may contact Cebu Pacific through its Online Chat Support or official social media accounts.
