Own Hiligaynon heritage pieces Handwoven by indigenous people in Iloilo, Philippines.

The Handwoven Crafts included in this collection is a combination of traditional weaves and innovative creations of the Ati Tribe artisans in collaboration with Artère.

Among their own people, the word Ati, also known as Aeta, Ayta, Ita, Agta, Alta, and Ata means "man" or "people".

We created Tribu Panay Collection to help sustain the livelihood of the Ati Tribe and preserve their traditional heritage.

During this pandemic, we hope to minimize their roaming on the streets and give them decent livelihood and at the same time supplement the education of their children with the hope of giving them a better future.

100% of the proceeds from this collection will go to the education of young tribe members.

Intricately woven using Nito vines traditionally collected and crafted by the Ati Tribe in the mountains of Panay Island, this handwoven piece was assembled by indigenous artisans to function as a purse with a zipper seal that is drawn side to side to open or close hence the Bútong Púyo name.
