Filipino American Cancer Care (F.A.C.C.) is honored to feature Fashion Designer EDISON SY from the Philippines at its Fashion for Hope and Courage Charity Gala on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Magnoliya Grand Conference and Event Center in Manassas, Virginia.
Edison Sy is the founder and CEO of HABI Essentials PH, an Iloilo-based fashion brand established in 2020 with a vision of celebrating Filipino craftsmanship through contemporary fashion. What began as a handbag label has since evolved into a lifestyle brand offering women’s and men’s collections while remaining committed to preserving traditional weaving, supporting local artisans, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. Inspired by the resilience of the Filipino spirit during the pandemic, HABI Essentials PH continues to transform indigenous materials into modern designs that proudly showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Today, Edison Sy has earned recognition from public figures and advocates of local fashion for his commitment to quality, culture, and sustainability. As a proud member of the Designers Guild of Iloilo, he continues to champion Filipino creativity on the global stage. Following the brand’s successful international debut in Seattle, USA, in 2022, Edison remains dedicated to sharing the beauty of Philippine craftsmanship with the world—proving that every Edison Sy creation is more than fashion; it is a story of culture, community, and Filipino pride.
This event holds a personal significance for Edison. Having lost both of his parents to cancer, supporting the Filipino American Cancer Care beneficiaries is far more than an opportunity to present his designs—it is an advocacy rooted in his own life experience.
Through his work, he hopes to honor the strength and memory of those who have battled cancer while standing in solidarity with survivors, individuals currently undergoing treatment, their families, and the healthcare professionals who care for them.
For Edison, using fashion as a platform to raise awareness, inspire hope, and support compassionate cancer care is one of the most meaningful ways he can give back. This showcase is not only a celebration of Filipino artistry but also a heartfelt tribute to resilience, healing, and the enduring strength of community.
