🕊️ AND THE PROCLAMATION OF THE THREE ANGELS’ MESSAGES
🔵 A Powerful Prophetic Truth for God’s Last-Day People
In Revelation chapter 10, a mighty angel comes down from heaven carrying “a little book open” in his hand. The angel proclaims that “time should be no longer,” John is commanded to eat the little book, and afterward he is told:
“Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

❓ What is this little book?
❓ Why was it previously closed but later opened?
❓ What does it mean that “time should be no longer”?
❓ Why was the book sweet in the mouth but bitter in the belly?
❓ How does Revelation 10 connect with the 2300-day prophecy and the Three Angels’ Messages?
🙏 This study reveals the powerful connection between the Book of Daniel, the Advent movement, and God’s final message to the world.
📜 REVELATION 10 — FOUR MAIN POINTS
🟢 Revelation 10 presents four major prophetic events:
🔵 1. The little book is opened
🟡 2. The angel declares that “time should be no longer”
🟠 3. John eats the little book—it is sweet, then bitter
🔴 4. God commands His people to prophesy again to the world
The Bible does not leave us to guess concerning these symbols. Scripture must explain Scripture.
📖 The Word of God is its own interpreter.
📕 1. THE LITTLE BOOK THAT WAS OPENED
The angel in Revelation 10 holds:
“A little book open.”
— Revelation 10:2
Why does the prophecy emphasize that the book is open?
The meaning points to a book that had previously been closed or sealed, but was now being opened and understood.
❓ Is there a book in the Bible that God specifically commanded to be closed and sealed?
🟢 Yes—the Book of Daniel!
📖 Daniel 12:4
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
📖 Daniel 12:9
“Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”
🔵 The Book of Daniel was to remain sealed until the time of the end.
🟡 Therefore, the little book that is opened in Revelation 10 points to the Book of Daniel, especially its prophetic messages concerning the time of the end.
🟢 When Daniel was unsealed:
• Prophetic knowledge would increase.
• God’s people would gain greater understanding.
• The time prophecies of Daniel would receive special attention.
• A worldwide message would follow.
⏳ 2. “TIME SHOULD BE NO LONGER”
📖 Revelation 10:6
“That there should be time no longer.”
Does this mean that literal time on earth would immediately end?
🔴 No!
Why?
Because Revelation 10:11 says:
“Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”
If all literal time had ended, there would be no people or nations left to receive another message.
Therefore, the time mentioned must refer to prophetic time.
🟢 The Book of Daniel contains several important time prophecies:
🔵 The time, times, and half a time
🟡 The 1260 days
🟠 The 1290 days
🔴 The 1335 days
🟣 The great 2300-day prophecy
These prophecies are connected with God’s unfolding plan and the understanding of the time of the end.
📖 Daniel 8:14
“Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”
According to the historic Adventist understanding, the prophetic 2300 days represent 2300 years, extending from 457 B.C. to A.D. 1844.
🟢 Therefore, the declaration that “time should be no longer” points to the completion of the great prophetic periods connected with Daniel.
⚠️ This does not mean that history ended in 1844. It means that the great prophetic time periods pointing to this event had reached their fulfillment.
🍯 3. THE EATING OF THE LITTLE BOOK
📖 Revelation 10:9–10
“Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.”
What does it mean to eat a book?
🍞 Food enters the body through the mouth and is digested.
📖 In the same way, God’s Word enters the mind through reading, studying, believing, and spiritually receiving its truth.
🟢 To “eat” the little book represents:
• Deeply studying the prophecies.
• Receiving God’s Word into the heart.
• Believing the prophetic message.
• Allowing the truth to become part of one’s life.
🌎 THE ADVENT MOVEMENT AND THE OPEN BOOK
During the early and middle 1800s, there was a great awakening concerning the prophecies of Daniel.
🔵 William Miller and many other Advent believers deeply studied the Book of Daniel.
🟡 They especially studied the 2300-day prophecy.
🟢 They understood that the prophecy pointed to the year 1844.
Because many believed that the sanctuary represented the earth, they concluded that the cleansing of the sanctuary would occur at Christ’s Second Coming.
This expectation was sweet as honey! 🍯
They believed that Jesus would soon return and that the great controversy with sin would finally end.
But when Christ did not return in 1844, their experience became bitter.
💔 This was the Great Disappointment.
Yet Revelation 10 had already foretold the experience:
🟢 The message would be sweet in the mouth.
🔴 But it would become bitter in the belly.
🌟 WAS THE ADVENT MOVEMENT A FALSE MOVEMENT?
❌ No!
The Advent believers misunderstood the meaning of the sanctuary, but their study of the prophetic time was part of God’s leading.
Consider the disciples of Jesus:
🔵 They expected Christ to establish an earthly kingdom.
🟡 They believed He would overthrow Roman power.
🟠 They did not understand that Jesus had to suffer and die.
Did their misunderstanding make them a false movement?
❌ No!
Jesus corrected their misunderstanding and led them into greater truth.
In the same way, God led the Advent believers forward after the Great Disappointment.
They came to understand that:
🟢 The sanctuary of Daniel 8:14 was not the earth.
🔵 It was the heavenly sanctuary.
🟡 Jesus is our great High Priest.
🟠 Christ entered the Most Holy Place to begin the final work connected with judgment and the cleansing of the sanctuary.
📖 The disappointment was bitter—but greater light followed! ✨
📣 4. “THOU MUST PROPHESY AGAIN”
After John ate the little book and experienced the bitterness, he received a new command:
📖 Revelation 10:11
“Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”
🔵 The prophetic message did not end with disappointment.
🟢 God’s people were commanded to proclaim the message again.
This points forward to the worldwide proclamation of the Three Angels’ Messages.
🕊️ THE THREE ANGELS’ MESSAGES
📖 Revelation 14:6–7
“I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”
🟢 Notice the connection:
🔵 Revelation 10 speaks of the opening of Daniel.
🟡 Daniel contains the 2300-day prophecy.
🟠 The 2300-day prophecy points to the cleansing of the sanctuary.
🔴 The cleansing of the sanctuary is connected with judgment.
🟣 Revelation 14 announces:
“The hour of His judgment is come!”
These prophecies are closely connected.
⚖️ THE HOUR OF GOD’S JUDGMENT
How can we know when the hour of God’s judgment began?
The message itself does not provide a new time prophecy. Therefore, the timing must be understood through the prophetic foundation already given in Daniel.
📖 Daniel 8:14
“Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”
🟢 The cleansing of the sanctuary is connected with the Old Testament Day of Atonement.
📖 Leviticus 23:24–29 reveals that this sacred period involved:
🔵 A solemn warning.
🟡 The cleansing of sin.
🟠 A time of judgment.
🔴 The calling of God’s people to humble themselves.
Therefore, the fulfillment of the 2300-day prophecy points to the beginning of the great antitypical Day of Atonement—the final work connected with Christ’s ministry in the heavenly sanctuary.
🏛️ JESUS—OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST
According to this understanding, Christ entered the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary in 1844.
There He began the final work connected with:
🟢 The judgment of God’s people.
🔵 The cleansing of the sanctuary.
🟡 The blotting out of sin.
🟠 The preparation of a holy people for Christ’s return.
Jesus is not merely our Saviour—He is also our great High Priest and Mediator.
🙏 He is working to prepare a people who will reflect His character and stand faithful to His truth.
🏙️ THE SECOND ANGEL’S MESSAGE
After many churches rejected the advancing light concerning the judgment and the sanctuary, the second angel’s message was proclaimed:
📖 Revelation 14:8
“Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
🔴 The message warned against rejecting divine truth and following spiritual confusion.
Later, God gives another call:
📖 Revelation 18:4
“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins.”
🟢 God still has sincere people in many places.
His call is not merely to change an outward name or institution—it is a call to:
• Leave spiritual error.
• Receive the truth of God’s Word.
• Follow Jesus faithfully.
• Worship the Creator.
• Prepare for Christ’s return.
🔥 THE ADVENT PIONEERS RECEIVED GREAT LIGHT
God led the Advent pioneers through a difficult experience.
Yes, they initially misunderstood the meaning of the sanctuary.
But after the Great Disappointment:
🟢 Their faith was tested.
🔵 Their understanding increased.
🟡 Their study became deeper.
🟠 Their message became clearer.
🔴 Greater light was revealed concerning Christ’s heavenly ministry.
The disappointment did not destroy God’s work.
✨ Instead, it became a pathway to deeper truth.
Their experience was not merely intellectual knowledge. Their faith was tested, purified, and strengthened.
🌍 THE FINAL MESSAGE MUST GO TO THE WHOLE WORLD
The command still stands:
📖 “Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”
The Three Angels’ Messages are not intended for one nation alone.
They are a worldwide message to:
🌍 Every nation
👥 Every people
🗣️ Every language
🏛️ Every kingdom
The message calls humanity to:
🟢 Fear God
🔵 Give glory to Him
🟡 Recognize that the hour of His judgment has come
🟠 Worship the Creator
🔴 Reject spiritual Babylon
🟣 Receive the everlasting gospel
🙏 A PERSONAL APPEAL
Dear friends, the Book of Daniel has been opened, and the prophetic light has been given for the time of the end.
The question is:
❓ Will you study the prophecies for yourself?
❓ Will you receive the everlasting gospel?
❓ Will you follow Jesus, our great High Priest?
❓ Will you walk in the light God has revealed?
📖 Jesus said:
“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine.”
— John 7:17
🙏 May this message stir our hearts to:
🟢 Study the Word more deeply.
🔵 Seek Christ more earnestly.
🟡 Walk faithfully in the light of truth.
🟠 Share God’s final warning with the world.
🔴 Prepare for the soon return of Jesus.
✨ The Book of Daniel was unsealed.
📖 Prophetic knowledge increased.
🕊️ The Three Angels’ Messages began to be proclaimed.
🌍 The final message is still going to the world.
