Last August 7, 2026, Auro Chocolate’s co-founder and Managing Director Mark Ocampo was invited to be part of a panel discussion alongside Michelin star Chef Josh Boutwood, and Filipino internet sensation Abi Marquez about their inspiration and motivation in showcasing Philippine ingredients and sensibilities on a global stage.

When Kelly Go founded Auro Chocolate a decade ago, she struggled with what to do with all the leftover powder from grinding cocoa beans. At one point, the Philippines-based craft chocolatier simply dumped the powder while selling the pricier cocoa butter to candy makers.
