🔥 HOT TAKE: Did Halo actually disrespect its own franchise with Campaign Evolved?
I keep seeing people say Halo: Campaign Evolved disrespected the original because of the changes, the added content, and the new elements in what is essentially a reimagining of the classic campaign.
But here's my question:
Does changing something automatically mean you don't respect the original?
Halo: CE is legendary. Nobody is taking that away. But if the developers simply copied the original campaign beat-for-beat with prettier graphics, people would probably complain that it's just a glorified remaster.
So when they add new content, expand the story, or try something different, suddenly it's “they're disrespecting Halo.” 🤔
Personally, I'd rather see them take risks while respecting the DNA of the original than give us the exact same game with a fresh coat of paint.
And let's be honest… if the gameplay is good, the additions make sense, and the spirit of Halo is still there—does it really matter if they changed things?
💬 Halo fans: Is Campaign Evolved a disrespectful reimagining, or are people just afraid of change?
Let's hear it. 👀
