UP NEXT: Cartellino invites everyone to the opening reception ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, a solo exhibition by ceramic artist and educator ๐๐. ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ขรฑ๐จ, happening on Thursday, August 20 at Cartellino.
The presentation brings together ceramic game forms inspired by fruits, seeds, pods, flowers, and other botanical life. Reimagining familiar games such as sungka, dama, chess, and solitaire, it transforms play into spaces for reflection on growth, resilience, interdependence, power, and presence.
At its heart is the generative Earthโboth shelter and source, holding the conditions from which life takes root, flourishes, withers, and begins again. Formed from clay and shaped into vessels of play, each work carries this cycle within it: seeds are gathered and dispersed, pieces advance and retreat, and every gesture alters what follows.
Ultimately, the exhibition is more than refuge. It is a fertile space of becomingโa place where life is held, relationships take root, and possibilities are continually renewed through our encounters with one another and the living world.
๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ is on view from August 20 to September 11, 2026 at Cartellino, located at 6F East Wing, Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong City (access through Galerie Stephanie).
