BTS GOES FULL ‘OLDBOY’ IN "2.0" 🎬🥊

The "2.0" MV is here, and it’s a cinematic trip. BTS swapped the stage for a gritty, one-take hallway brawl paying homage to the film Oldboy. It’s high-octane, sophisticated, and already crushing the Billboard charts.

My Take: I’m obsessed with the grit and the Oldboy tribute, and I think it’s visual perfection. However, "2.0" was a questionable choice for the single. With all the noise surrounding the ARIRANG album, this feels like adding fuel to the fire.

Executive produced by Diplo and featuring an eclectic roster of contributors, from Flume and Kevin Parker to JPEGMAFIA, the album dismantles the “idol mold.”

ARIRANG is a sonic landscape that infuses traditional Korean instrumentation with several “avante-garde” experimentation, like underground French rap textures. It is defiant and quite (intentionally) divisive.

It’s the end of an era for ENGENE. Belift Lab has officially announced that Heeseung will be departing ENHYPEN to pursue his journey as a solo artist, leaving the group to continue as a six-member unit consisting of Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. The decision comes after "in-depth discussions" about the future direction of the team, with the label stating that they respect Heeseung’s "distinct musical vision."

In a heartfelt letter shared on Weverse, Heeseung opened up to fans about the transition, calling his six years with the group "one of the shining moments in my life." He assured ENGENE that he is working hard to prepare new music and hopes to return "in an even better form." While we cheer on OT6 for the future, we are sending endless support to Heeseung as he takes this next step. ENGENE forever! 🧡🐈
