BIG BOX Story

My pupils had been asking me to hold a big box since yesterday, and I knew they were up to something! 🤣 I politely declined at first, telling them we needed to focus on our English class without any interruptions.

Fast forward to this morning: someone handed me a tub of ice cream. I was so confused whether it was real or just a prank!

ME: "Ha? Anhon ko ni?" (It was way too early for ice cream! 🤣🤣🤣)
PUPIL: "Imo na, Ma'am. Hatag namon sa imo."
ME: "Seriously? Makaon ko ice cream amo ni ka early?" 🤣🤣🤣

Before I could even process it, someone handed me that big box. The pupils stood and filled it with all sorts of unexpected little gifts and treats!

I wish I had captured the moment on video, but I was just so surprised and touched when they told me it was their way of saying "sorry." 🥹

I reminded them that they never have to spend their own baon just to apologize, a sincere "sorry" and a real effort to improve their behavior means far more than any gift.

Moments like this remind me just how blessed I am to be a part of these children's growth as they learn, mature, and become better individuals every day.

Thank God, for placing me into this path. Truly, being their teacher is a privilege I will always cherish.
