The roar of the Transformers card game was ever present — and Jayms was once again at the center of it all. Always bringing his A-game, he promoted the battles of Autobots and Decepticons with passion, teaching new players the ropes while giving veterans a challenge they won’t forget.

At MICon’s Game Day, the King of Monsters stomped onto the tabletop as Synmaker led a thrilling demo of the Godzilla card game. Curious players gathered to learn the mechanics, with Synmaker guiding them through the chaos and strategy of unleashing kaiju power. Casual matches followed, filled with laughter, excitement, and the roar of Godzilla dominating the battlefield.
The demo wasn’t just about learning—it was about experiencing the sheer fun of commanding the King of Monsters. By the end, players left with smiles, new skills, and a taste of the epic battles to come.

At MICon’s Game Day, twelve Methuselahs gathered under the banner of Hearts of Darkness, each vying for the glory of being at the top. The battles were fierce and strategic, with alliances shifting and ancient rivalries rekindled. After two grueling rounds and a climactic final, Ryan emerged victorious, piloting his Nosferatu Sabbat deck—Crossbreaker—to claim the crown.

The tournament was more than just competition; it was a celebration of community. Players traveled from as far as North Quezon City to join the fray, while casual games kept the tables lively between rounds. Adding a playful twist, our Duck Race brought laughter and cheers, with PJ triumphing and winning the MICon Sabbat Path tokens.

As the Prince of Muntinlupa, hosting this tournament was an honor. The camaraderie, the fun, and the shared passion for Vampire reminded us why we gather: to play, to connect, and to keep the eternal struggle alive. I look forward to our next tournament—and hopefully, I’ll get to sit across the table and play with you all.

On February 28, 2026, South Park Center Alabang transformed into a vibrant hub of geek culture as MICon (My Inner-Geek Convention) brought together friends, families, and communities of play.

Casual Magic: The Gathering matches filled the tables, with my two sons joining in the fun, while merchants offered singles to eager collectors. Lorcana’s starter deck tournament and learn-to-play sessions drew curious adventurers, alongside Transformers and Godzilla learn-to-play tables. Neo sharing his Sonic and Mario game, and Gundam Card Game skirmishes on the side.

The Vampire: The Eternal Struggle Hearts of Darkness tournament was a highlight, hosted by none other than the Prince of Muntinlupa—yours truly.

The day wasn’t just about new experiences—it was about reconnecting. We met old friends from Legend of the Five Rings, welcomed World of Warcraft players into the fold, and shared laughs with MechWarrior and BattleTech pals from years past. JDJ even scouted the venue for future SIF games, hinting at more battles to come.

Through it all, the support of my family—and especially my loving wife—made the event possible. MICon wasn’t just a convention; it was a celebration of community, nostalgia, and the joy of play, proving once again that geek culture thrives when shared together.
