BATTLE OF THE 4:3 HANDHELDS:
Retroid Pocket Nova vs. Anbernic RG476H

I'm currently making a comparison video of arguably the two best known 4:3 handhelds in the market right now, the Retroid Pocket Nova and the Anbernic RG476H. These are two very similar devices, but also two very different target users. Will share my thoughts on the matter when I post the video. 😊

Here's my unboxing and initial impressions of the Retroid Pocket Nova, which currently is, hands down, my favorite device of 2026. It's truly what the retro gamers of my age are looking for.

I'll do a second video of what I have been doing with this device during my 1 week of having it.

The Retroid Pocket Duo and Duo Lite is now up for pre-order. You can check out Retroid's website to order yours. For now, as much as I am curious about the RP Duo, I will be looking at these on my bed and will repeat two words over and over again: fiscal responsibility. 😂

Unless Retroid Pocket sends me a review unit. Please? 😅

The prices of the Retroid Pocket Duo and Duo Lite has been revealed! Starting at $149, it maybe a compelling argument for an entry-level dual screen device against the also newly announced Anbernic RG DS Plus at $95, with the former being a more powerful device and has a bigger screen.

What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.

Apparently, aside from the Retroid Pocket Duo, there's going to be a Duo Lite, which will be powered by the Qualcomm QCS6125, which is the IoT-version of the Snapdragon 665.

In terms of performance, this is about a low-to-mid range chip 7 years ago, which is quite baffling to say the least. But, at the end of the day, will the price be justifiable? What are your thoughts about it?

The SoC has been revealed! The Retroid Pocket Duo will be powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-7790, which is the IoT-version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. This means that performance will be in between the Snapdragon 865 found the RP5, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the RP6 and RP Nova.

We really haven't seen how the SD7G4 performs in emulation, but best guess is that it can run games up to Switch and also a few lightweight PC games, but the question is whether Turnip drivers are available or compatible with this chipset. But if you are a N3DS-centric person, this might be the best match for you.

What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.

Here we go! The Retroid Pocket Duo basically a Retroid Pocket Nova with its 4:3 1280x960 OLED 120Hz screen with an attached 16:9 1920x1080 OLED 120Hz screen, and also with a D-Pad top configuration.

What do you guys think will be the chip here?

Anyway, Retroid Pocket Duo incoming!
