Salbutamol is a short-acting bronchodilator primarily used to treat and prevent bronchospasm in respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways to quickly relieve symptoms like wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

Shake the inhaler well before each use and breathe out fully away from the device before inhaling. Use a spacer if you find it difficult to coordinate your breathing, and clean the mouthpiece regularly with a dry tissue. If using a nebulizer solution, administer it only with a proper nebulizer machine and clean the equipment immediately after use to prevent clogging.
