Since I’m just starting out, I’ve realized that marketing yourself and your skills is one of the most important things to do if you want people to know you and what you can offer.
Since I also want to get private students, ito talaga ang ginagawa ko, kapalan ng mukha, post dito, post doon! 😂 You have to put yourself out there and let people know what you can do.
Then, after a week of posting, a mom found me on Facebook and booked a trial class last Saturday. And guess what? After the trial, she booked and paid for regular classes! 🥹❤️
And the best part? She entrusted me with BOTH of her kids! 🥹❤️ As a teacher who’s still starting out, that means so much to me. It’s not just about getting students, it’s also about earning a parent’s trust, and I’m truly grateful she gave me that opportunity.
For now, I only have weekends available for private students because I’m already fully booked with my ESL company from 6–10 PM. I’m committed to the schedule I have with them, and I make sure to honor that commitment while exploring opportunities on the side. I’m also thankful that I found a training center that helped me land this job and endorsed me to one of their partner companies. All my students there are really kind, which makes my teaching journey even more enjoyable! ❤️
To everyone who’s just starting out like me, don’t limit yourself. Think outside the box. Don’t be afraid to promote yourself and your skills. You never know what opportunities might come your way unless you try.
And to the mom who trusted me with her kids, thank you so much! ❤️ I won’t take your trust for granted, and I’ll do my best to make our classes fun and meaningful.
Hindi lang Xie xie, Kamsahamnida na rin! 😂❤️ Since our classes are two hours long, we’ll even have time to dance to Soda Pop.😁💃
If I can do it, you can do it too! We all have to start somewhere. Small steps are still progress. Let’s keep going! ❤️✨
