For 6 years, I was a corporate girl.
I used to hate Mondays... and even Fridays. 😅 Hindi dahil sa work mismo, pero dahil alam kong haharap na naman ako sa mahabang commute at traffic. May mga araw na umiiyak na lang ako habang nasa biyahe, kasi pagod na pagod na ko.
When I left corporate, I became a Virtual Assistant. Hanggang ngayon, VA pa rin ako and I'm really grateful for it.
But I also knew I didn't want to depend on just one source of income. Deep inside, ayoko nang bumalik sa corporate life if I could help it.
So I started a small business.
Honestly, sobrang daming "what if."
What if walang umorder?
What if I fail?
What if I leave something stable for nothing?
But I took the risk anyway.
Now, my Mondays look a little different. I still work, I still pack orders, I still have deadlines, working with US clients, but I get to start my day at my own pace, with coffee in hand and gratitude in my heart.
I'm sharing this not to say being small business owner is easy, because it's not. I just want to remind you that sometimes, the life you're hoping for starts with taking that scary first step.
And looking back... I'm so glad I did. ☁️🤍
