Was gone for a week (cough cough sickness) and immediately after recovery, I spent the week testing something different - the Gateron | Keyboard Switch Jade Attraction HE magnetic switches!
Been using these for a week straight, both for playing Valorant and editing this video. At a ultra-light 30gf, they are light. I had to adjust the actuation settings on my spacebar so I wouldn't accidentally jump mid-game
Some innovations:
3-Phase Magnetic Ring: designed to counteract standard spring resistance, force stays flat
Acoustic Dual Back-Cover: added an acoustic chamber to copy mechanical acoustics - gives a nice bottom-out pop, though you still get that signature snappy metal upstroke clack inherent to magnetic switches.
Dual-Drive Structure: Stem wobble is noticeably reduced, making typing super smooth.
Before jumping straight into gaming, I did a quick Monkeytype run. The 30gf initial force is like a throwback to "speed" switches, just a bit more controlled, if that makes sense.
Check out the unboxing and sound test! Are you team ultra-light switches, or do you prefer a heavier spring? Let me know in the comments! 👇
