A data from Reuters said that we could be ingesting the equivalent of a credit card's worth of plastic a week 💳 a recent study by WWF concluded - mainly from our drinking water 😰 but also via foods like shellfish, which tend to be eaten whole so the plastic in their digestive systems is also consumed 😖 other studies in the UK also indicate microplastics are even found in the air we breathe.⁠⠀

So, in a week, we ingest a plastic bottle cap’s worth, and in six months, we consume a cereal bowl full -YIKES!

We don't fully understand what impact this ingestion of micro & nano-sized plastic particles has on our health, but it has the potential to cause toxicity and that is definitely a cause for concern especially for kids.

The best thing we can all try and do right now, at an individual level, is to reduce significantly our consumption of plastics/plastic bottles! We need to! That is one reason why I switched to a sustainable & healthier source of drinking water thru ECOSPHERE WATER PURIFIER!💯
