ABA(NICO), our adoptee cat 🐾 🐾wishes to greet one and all a Happy Independence Day! Meowligayang Araw ng Kalayaan🇵🇭✨

Long before The Willow Tree had a physical storefront, shelves, or a sign on the door, Palawan’s artists relied entirely on their own resourcefulness and wit. With no specialty shops, a scarcity of supplies, and basic art essentials completely hard to find. What they did have was pure creativity, grit, and resourcefulness—and it was incredibly inspiring.

We opened The WillowTree for the next generation of local artists, so they will no longer have to wait for shipments or pay shipping prices for online sourcing. Aspiring artists and hobbyists now have access, too!

Because FREEDOM, to us, means getting to create when inspiration hits; not weeks later; having on hand, in real time, materials you can see, and feel.

Salamat, Palawan!

Follow along as we celebrate art, independence, and Baragatan this month and beyond!
