A glimpse of the 10th World Bonsai Convention 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia bringing together bonsai and suiseki artists, collectors, judges, and enthusiasts from around the world under the theme “Unity in Diversity.”

We are especially proud to see the Philippines represented on this international stage through Anthony “ToneT” Gedang, whose years of dedication to suiseki, natural stones, and bonsai have earned recognition within the international community.

As a respected collector of suiseki and bonsai enthusiast, ToneT was also honored to serve as one of the Suiseki Competition Judges at the convention. 🇵🇭🪨🌳

🇵🇭The Philippines was proudly represented at the 10th World Bonsai Convention 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with Anthony “ToneT” Gedang chosen as one of the appointed Suiseki Competition Judges at this prestigious international gathering.

Held from August 28–31 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, with the exhibition continuing through September 6, the 10th World Bonsai Convention brought together bonsai and suiseki enthusiasts, artists, judges, and experts from around the world under the theme “Unity in Diversity.”

ToneT joined an international panel of suiseki judges representing Japan, India, Malaysia, China, Korea, and the Philippines.

A meaningful recognition of the growing contribution of Philippine suiseki to the international community.
Beyond competition, the convention celebrated the many traditions, cultures, and artistic perspectives that converge through bonsai and suiseki. 🌏🌿

A proud moment for Philippine bonsai and suiseki and another opportunity to share our appreciation of nature, art, culture, and the stories held within every tree and stone.

FDr. Anthony V. Gedang, EnvM has been officially invited as one of the Judges for the Suiseki Competition during the “PUNLA AT PAMANA” Judges and Collections Public Exhibition and Viewing organized by the BONSAI AND SUISEKI ALLIANCE OF THE PHILIPPINES INC. (BSAPI).
