🙏Our family is facing our worst nightmare for the second time. A few years ago 2017, we suffered the devastating loss of our second son. Now, our 23-year-old third son, Kryptone, is fighting for his life against "STAGE 5 Chronic Kidney Disease (End-Stage Renal Disease)".
Recently, a severe and sudden shift in his body's electrolyte levels caused a catastrophic medical emergency. Kryptone suffered nerve damage that left half of his body paralyzed and stripped away his ability to speak.
Just seven months ago, Kryptone became a father. It breaks our hearts to see this young, vibrant man unable to hold, speak to, or provide for his 7-month-old baby boy. He wants nothing more than to survive and watch his son grow up, but he cannot fight this battle alone.
Our Financial Reality
We are a hardworking but low-income household living hand-to-mouth, which brings in a very limited daily wage.
With no savings or medical insurance, the financial weight of this illness is completely overwhelming. Kryptone is entirely incapacitated and unable to work. We are doing everything humanly possible to keep him alive, but we have reached our absolute limit.
My child was discharged yesterday and is transitioning to long-term care, requiring dialysis three times a week at a nearby medical center.We are reaching out to our network for financial assistance to cover his ongoing treatments, medications, and home care. As a parent, ensuring his well-being comes before my own pride.
