ASHES OF LOVE
Chapter 1 — The Night Everything Burned
She thought she was simply leaving home for a few hours.
She never imagined she would return to find everything she had ever known in flames.
Earlier that day, she had left with the father of her three-year-old daughter.
She trusted him.
She loved him.
And she believed she would still have a home to return to.
But when she came back that evening, she saw the smoke before she saw the house.
Then came the flames.
Her home was burning.
Her little girl clung tightly to her as they stood helplessly outside.
Her father stood nearby, staring at her with anger in his eyes.
Her sister was beside him, furious.
She tried to explain.
She tried to tell them she had nothing to do with the fire.
But they had already decided who was to blame.
Her father looked at her and said,
“This happened because of you.”
Her heart shattered.
Her sister stepped forward.
“If you hadn't left with him, none of this would have happened.”
She looked at the burning house.
Then at her daughter.
She had lost her home.
But that wasn't the worst part.
The worst part was realizing that the people she thought would protect her were now the ones pushing her away.
That night, she was forced to leave with nothing but the clothes she was wearing and her little daughter in her arms.
As she walked away from the burning house, she looked back one last time.
Tears filled her eyes.
But beneath the tears was something else.
A question.
Why was she being blamed for a fire she didn't start?
She didn't know it yet...
But the truth behind that fire would change all of their lives.
And one day, the people who abandoned her would regret what they had done.
