We’re so thankful to have Paraluman as a platform to venture into different worlds.

This past year, we’ve been quietly building a relationship with something new: coffee.

Even during a short time, we’ve realized how something as simple as a cup of drink can give us so many new ways to connect with and serve people.

So thankful for people who has shared their knowledge and skills with us thus far- one of them being Gabrielle de Guzman from Dekada Chocolates . We fell in love with cacao through your generosity and we are so excited what else we can discover and create with it together!

We are hoping to build an even stronger relationship with local produce (coffee, cacao, fruits, veggies, all of it!) through this new path we’re exploring. So if you are wanting to collaborate, share knowledge, try new ingredients, have a pop up, or just have a cup of coffee (or your drink of choice) together, we are just a DM away!

addie 🇵🇸 (Bower Gra), Corinne Serrano , Dwight (Kras Mazov), and Frankie held two sound concerts for the last day of Bodies That Listen. Painting the forest red and silver with found sounds and lost ones, too, the group performed a symphony of a wildfire in Ang Lagablab at Paglalamon ng Lahat ng Nadaraanan.

Together, we stayed with the fire. Listening to what hurt, what raged, and what still asked to be felt.

Thank you to everyone who listened and stayed with us until the end. ❤️‍🔥

Softening the room, it taught us that listening can be an act of tenderness.

For the first day of Bodies That Listen, Dang A Dang Radio momentarily transformed the space into a temporary broadcast station. Along with ET and Grumpy Kitty Boy , poetry, songs, audio essays, and field recordings were transmitted from Manila airwaves to the world.

Many thanks to Dang A Dang Radio for creating space for brave voices to be heard and be never forgotten ♥️

What does it mean to listen in a time that asks us to look away?

For three days, in the middle of a mall, we gathered. We listened and stayed with the grief and the tenderness. The rage and the quiet. The strange, fleeting beauty of being alive.

We didn’t come to understand any of it, or make it hurt less. Maybe we just wanted to stay close enough to feel something.

To let the world move through us,
and find each other still here.

To Aly, Gladys, Erick, Cheska, Juro, and Eric, for listening bravely and giving voice to histories and struggles we’re taught to turn away from.

To Andi, Jam, Yumi, and Josh, for softening the room and reminding us that listening can be an act of tenderness.

To Addie, Frankie, and Dwight, for asking us to surrender. To stay with the unresolved and overwhelming, and let feeling come before understanding.

To King, for giving our forest its pulse.

To Grant and Rhythm Sound & Light, for making the forest breathe and giving sound another depth through light.

To Tonchi and Sining Shelter, for letting every whisper, prayer, protest, and eruption be heard.

To Josh, for giving Slow Room a visual language that could live beyond the room.

To AJ, for keeping us warm with drinks made with love. To Lu, Neil, and Juju, for holding the fort with so much care. To Justin, Raymart, Vincent, DJ, and Russell, for building our strange little forest by hand.

To Zia, for witnessing so tenderly and preserving what was always going to be fleeting.

To Luis and Manila Community Radio, for giving these sounds somewhere to remain.
