Marvel Studios has reportedly found another member of its new X-Men team, with Gen V star Asa Germann landing the role of Warren Worthington III, aka Angel.

And there's an interesting story behind this one.

Germann previously tested for Cyclops before Marvel ultimately cast Kit Connor as Scott Summers. But apparently the studio wasn't ready to let Germann leave the X-Mansion just yet.

Now he'll trade Gen V's Godolkin University for Marvel's mutant universe as one of the original five X-Men from the comics.

And if Marvel eventually follows Warren's comic-book evolution from Angel into the much darker Archangel?

Anyone who's watched Germann as Sam on Gen V already knows he can go to some VERY dark places.

Marvel's X-Men roster is coming together.
