As someone who’s naturally hyperactive, sewing has become my way to slow down, create, and express care through every stitch. My journey began in my elementary years when my Nanay (lola/grandma) taught me how to use her traditional Singer sewing machine. She would hand me scraps of fabric, and I would stitch anywhere and everywhere — learning how to make small rags, patch denim, and repair little
tears in clothes. Those early moments of play and practice sparked my love for sewing and showed me the joy of creating with my hands. What began as simple handmade crafts has now grown into a small studio where I share pieces made with love, patience, and meaning. I’m also deeply grateful to my S/O for gifting me my first Brother sewing machine — a gesture that encouraged me to keep pursuing this passion and bring Likhanay Looms to life. Inspired by earth tones, textures, and the comfort of home, I hope each creation from Likhanay Looms brings warmth and soul into your everyday moments.
