Made myself a little crochet phone wristlet! 😊📱🧶

And obviously… it had to be pink. 😂💗

This was also my first time using 10-ply soft polyester yarn, and let me just say… this yarn and I are still getting to know each other. 🤣 I think I definitely need more practice because you can see all the individual strands, and since the yarn is quite thin, there were a few times I didn’t notice that one strand didn’t get pulled through completely. The result? Tiny little loose loops staring at me like, “Yep, you missed me!” 😂

Or maybe I just need a new pair of eyeglasses. Hahaha! 👓🤣

It has a cute little strawberry applique 🍓 and a crochet star charm using milk cotton yarn and an old phone keychain I had. ⭐ I love how a few little details can make a simple project feel so much more me. 🥰

I actually have another WIP using this same yarn, but I had to put it on hold because I kept messing up the strands. 😂 Sooo… I guess the solution is obvious:

Make more wristlets until I finally master this yarn! 🤣🧶

At this point, I’m not practicing… I’m just finding excuses to make more crochet projects. 😂😂

Finished another folio insert for the Christmas album, and now it’s ready for matting! ☺️😆 One step closer… and probably another dozen tiny decisions away from being actually finished. 😂

Magnets have been a must-have for me when making interactive scrapbook albums. They’re just so handy for keeping flip-outs, inserts, and all those little interactive bits closed, secure, and looking neat.

But lately, I’ve noticed the quality of the strong magnets I’ve been using seems to be decreasing. 😩 I’ve bought the same kind from the same shop, but somehow they just don’t seem as strong as they used to be. I’ve even tried different shops, and I’m getting pretty much the same result. 😞

And of course… this had to happen while I’m making a folio with TONS of flip-outs and inserts. 😂🤦‍♀️ So now I’m struggling to keep everything nicely in place, especially when I know how much I’ve packed into this thing.

I think I’ll have to start using some alternatives. They may not be quite as handy, seamless, or neat as magnets, but hey… a crafter adapts! 😆 We improvise, we experiment, and occasionally we question every life decision that led us to making 47 interactive pieces in one album. LOL 😂

Anyway… it’s Monday again! ☕️

Time to wake up the brain, find my Get Up somewhere under the pile of cardstock, and pretend I have a plan. 😂

A little handmade bow for a little creative mood boost. 🎀✨

Made this paper ribbon today for my Christmas Folio. 🎀🎄 But I’m still trying to figure out where this little piece will fit because I changed the color theme for the cover. 😂

I guess that’s the fun of creating…sometimes the project changes direction along the way! 😆✂️✨ And I love how a piece of paper can turn into something this cute! 😍

No fancy supplies, just paper, patience, and a little bit of crafty magic. ✂️💕✨

And honestly… after having my mood ruined since this morning, I think I needed this little creative moment more than I realized. 😂

Sometimes you just need to step away from the nonsense and make something pretty. 🎀

Back to crafting. Back to my happy place. 💕

For this page, I made an apron-inspired expandable pocket…perfect for tucking in extra photos, recipe cards, and all those little memories that deserve a place in the album. 😉 And can we talk about this patterned paper?! I think it fits the style,, hahaha!😆

This actually brought back a little elementary-school memory. I remember we had a project where we had to make an apron and a pot holder. 😂 Who else remembers those school projects?!😆

Speaking of aprons… Do you still wear one when you cook? 👀

I definitely still use pot holders, but an apron? Nope! 😂 I’ve apparently graduated to the “hand towel hanging from the oven handle” method. Hahaha! It works… until someone needs that towel and pulls the whole thing down. 🤣

Since I shared the little pieces I made for this birthday bouquet last week, I might as well finally share the whole bouquet. LOL! 😂💐

Actually, I made this last month as a gift for my 7th-grader daughter’s adviser. I only had about half a day…maybe a few hours, if we’re being honest, to make and finish the whole thing. So I was SO happy I managed to get it done before the sun went down! 😂🙌

I originally wanted to add more, but time said, “Girl, that’s enough.” 🤣 So I worked with what I could finish within my very limited crafting window.

Now, wrapping… 😂 Let’s just say I know I need A LOT more practice. I have the patience for crocheting tiny pieces one stitch at a time, but apparently wrapping a bouquet is where my patience clocks out. Hahahaha! 🤣😅 I did my best, though…and that counts! LOL❤️

And speaking of time… currently, I have A LOT of WIPs staring at me from every corner of my craft room. 😂 Sometimes, being a full-time mom AND a crafter makes me wish I had superpowers.

I just want to be The Flash so I can finish everything in a flash. ⚡
Or Piper Halliwell so I can freeze time and finish all my projects before the deadline. 😂
Or maybe Shiva so I can have a whole bunch of hands working at the same time. 🤣
OR…and this might be the most practical option…use Naruto’s Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and make a dozen of me to tackle all these WIPs! 😂🍥

Imagine coming back to my craft room and finding 20 Me crocheting, cutting, gluing, and assembling at the same time. HAHAHAHA! 🤣🤣

Okay… enough crazy thoughts. Back to reality. One project at a time. 😅

First folio insert for my Christmas Folio! 🎄💖

I made this file-folder-style folio using my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board for the folder tab part. And with this one insert alone, you can already fit 10 different photo sizes! 😉📸

I had so much fun playing around with the cut-aparts and this is how it turned out. I love how a few pieces of paper can somehow turn into another thing that can hold even more things. 😂

The problem is… every time I make inserts, I reach a point where I should probably say, “Okay, stop. That’s enough.”

But do I?
Absolutely not. 🤣🤣

I just keep adding pockets, flaps, tags, photo mats, and whatever else my brain decides is a fantastic idea at the time. 😂 Now I’m just hoping the actual folio page I’m making will hold this folder folio nice and tight! HAHAHA! 🤞

Apparently, I don’t know how to make just one insert. I make an insert… for the insert… for the insert. 🤣

And just like that, we’re starting a new week again! Time is flying way too fast! ⏰

Just sharing a little mom life moment today. ❤️

My 6-year-old son is on the spectrum and also a cleft warrior, and one thing I absolutely love about him…while also occasionally wanting to pull my hair out 😂…is how persistent he is. When he wants to do something, he REALLY wants to do it. Giving up? Apparently not in his vocabulary. LOL! 😅

I know that determination will someday be one of his greatest strengths, and I’m actually so proud of that part of him. My only tiny problem? He has a serious passion for CLIMBING ON EVERYTHING. 🤦‍♀️😂

Table? Climb it.
Window? Climb it.
Door? Climb it.
Daddy’s back? Climb it.
Anything remotely climbable? Challenge accepted! 😂🤣😂🤣

Basically, I’m raising a tiny Spider Man in training, except this mom is the very annoying safety department constantly saying, “PLEASE GET DOWN!” 🤣🕷️

And now he has discovered another thing he wants to conquer…crochet! 🧶😂

He absolutely loved the Naruto amigurumi I made and plays with it all the time. He even puts it on the turntable and lets it spin every day. LOL! So these past few days, he’s been coming to me, grabbing the orange yarn and my crochet hook, and asking me to teach him how to crochet.

And of course… he WON’T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. 😂

So every time he asks, I show him how to make a slip knot and chain stitches. I hold his hand and guide him through the movements so he can get a feel for it and understand the concept.

He’s still figuring it out, and he definitely can’t make chains on his own yet. But I can see him watching closely, trying, and wanting so badly to learn. 🥹❤️

And honestly, I’m not in a hurry.

Maybe one day I’ll walk into the craft room and find a little orange chain sitting there like, “Look, Mom! I made this!” 😂 And I’ll probably treasure that tiny, wonky chain more than anything I could crochet myself.

I’m just happy that my little Spider Man has found another thing he’s interested in and apparently, Mom’s yarn stash is now officially his too. 🤣🧶

Who knows? Maybe one day he’ll be crocheting his own amigurumi and I’ll be the one asking HIM for help! 😂

Just a quick walkthrough of the first page of my recipe mini album 💓📖✨

Every page, flip-out, and pocket has a little job to do! 😉 They’re perfect spots for photos of the food, journaling the story behind the recipe, or simply keeping those little memories that make a recipe special. And of course, there are recipe cards tucked inside, where you can add another photo or even write more of the story on the back. 🥰

And yes… the tutorial also comes with printable recipe cards! 😉 Because we’re here to preserve the recipes and make life a little easier. 😂

We’re already halfway through the week! 🙌 And honestly, I’m counting down to school term break because I need two things desperately: more sleep and more crafting time! 😂🧶✂️
