Chapter IX Bookstore We cultivate the habit of reading and bring meaningful stories into people’s lives. The idea of giving them a good time through the books they buy from us.

Chapter IX Bookstore collection is a “personal collection” of what Gary Montenegro finds interesting. He curates the shop’s collection making sure every book is of every bibliophile’s interest. When asked who inspires him, he said, “What gets me up in the morning aside from my family are the bibliophiles. I want Chapter IX Bookstore to be a part of every bibliophile’s life: When they think of books they think of Chapter IX."

Before a book finds its place on a shelf,

there is this moment.
..
And then,

the first glimpse.

MIBF pala ngayon.

THE PAUSE

Bittersweet. Spiced. Balanced.

Tea + Tea + Coffee.

A pause between what you know
and what you taste.

The rest is for your palate to figure out.

Readers, we've apparently reached the point where simply looking like you read books is fashionable!!! 😂📚

One of 2026's stranger fashion trends is being called "Literary Chic" or "Bookworm Chic."

Major fashion houses have been leaning into cardigans, glasses, loafers, pencil skirts, and intentionally bookish styling, and some designers have taken the concept much further.

Dior created luxury bags inspired by classic novels such as Dracula and Madame Bovary. Coach showed tiny readable books as handbag charms. And fashion publications are now talking about people simply carrying actual books as part of their outfit.

Which is objectively hilarious for anyone who has spent years carrying a paperback everywhere because they actually wanted to read it.

Apparently we were fashionable the entire time. We just didn't know it!

Readers: are we claiming "Literary Chic," or are we gatekeeping this one?

Don’t judge an iced coffee by its appearance.

No dramatic layers. No visual tricks. Just espresso, milk, and thoughtful notes that reveal themselves one sip at a time.

ANNOTATION
Smooth. Spiced. Unassuming. With a finish that lingers.
