“The insight of a man certainly slows down his anger, And it is beauty on his part to overlook an offense.”
Proverbs 19:11

Insight is the ability to put yourself in another person’s place.

Instead of taking offense at others’ actions or the things they fail to do, try changing your perspective. Turn the negative into the positive. Focus on the wide variety of brilliant colors, hues, and shades that surround you.

And life will become more beautiful.🍁☺️

Now, read it again. This time…

•Replace Solomon’s name with your own.
•And if you’re a girl, change “son” to “daughter.”
•Then swap out the phrase, “Jehovah has chosen you to build a house as a sanctuary,” with the spiritual assignments Jehovah has given you:

Maybe it’s pioneering.
Maybe it’s supporting your family.
Maybe it’s caring for someone you love.
Maybe it’s simply doing your best to stay faithful through a difficult season.

•You could even try reading the verse in your own language.

When you do, it starts to feel less like a conversation between David and Solomon and more like a personal reminder from Jehovah.

A reminder that He knows your heart.
He sees what you’re carrying.
He understands the thoughts and worries you don’t always talk about.

And despite all of that, His message is still the same:
“Be courageous and go to work.”

So keep putting your faith in Him. Jehovah is always with you.🤝

When Paul heard that the Thessalonians were still staying faithful despite all the challenges they faced, it brought him comfort and gave him renewed strength. (1 Thess. 3:7, 8)

In the same way, just like the trees at Slope Point in New Zealand and the brothers in Thessalonica, Jehovah can still use you to encourage others.

So if you’re feeling worn out, broken, or discouraged, don’t give up. Keep showing up. Keep enduring.

You may not realize it, but your faithfulness could be giving someone else the strength they need to keep going.

Imagine we are in the moment described in Luke 10:25,26, when a man well-versed in the Law asked Jesus what he needed to do to gain everlasting life.

Jesus replied: What is written in the Law? “How do you read?”

If we were in that setting, how would we answer?

Personally, I struggled to develop regular and good reading habits, considering that I was not a bookworm. I really did not enjoy reading before, so Bible reading was a challenge for me. However, this account helped me reflect on the quality of my Bible reading and on how important the Bible’s role is in helping me build a deep relationship with Jehovah.

Also, the WT 02/23 study article helped me apply practical suggestions for developing good reading habits. Slowly, I began to enjoy reading, and it became an important part of my life. It now feels as though the quality of my day depends on whether I read the Bible or not.

So, if you find yourself struggling with Bible reading, this article can help you too.

Remember, reading to understand is a skill we can develop. With Jehovah’s help and his holy spirit, we can turn Bible reading into a daily habit.

There was a time when I thought everything needed to happen immediately.

I wanted instant growth, instant healing, instant answers. I thought delays meant I was falling behind. But in life Jehovah slowly taught me that some things cannot be rushed.

Growth takes time. Healing takes time. Maturity takes time.

And timing teaches us something difficult but necessary: the balance between patience and action.

I also learned that timing matters even in our words.

There were moments when I spoke immediately out of emotion or hurt, thinking that saying everything right away was always best. But I’ve learned that wisdom sometimes means pausing first.

Because words spoken at the wrong time can wound, even with good intentions. But the right words, spoken at the right moment, can heal and open hearts.

As written in Ecclesiastes 3:1:
“There is an appointed time for everything.”

Maybe maturity is not only about knowing what to say or do, but also discerning the right time for it.
