Juicing time. 🫚

Another moment where I whisper a small prayer to my juicer:

Please don’t break down this time. Not yet. I have no budget for a brand new you. 😂

I’ve been using my Matstone slow juicer since 2018 for our ginger and turmeric. And if you’ve ever juiced these fibrous roots especially in larger quantities you know they are TOUGH on a machine.

This little workhorse has been with me for years, quietly taking on kilos of ginger and turmeric batch after batch.

The problem? Matstone has discontinued producing a lot of its parts. 🥹

So currently, we’re working with our last 3 juicing screens.

Yes. I am now emotionally attached to juicer parts. 😂

We’re not quite ready to invest in a $2,000 ++ commercial juicer just to juice two roots, so for now… we keep going.

Matstone, you and me. One batch at a time. 🙏😂

For my fellow small food biz owners: any recommendations for a sturdy juicer that can handle ginger + turmeric in larger quantities without costing a small fortune?

Drop them below. My future self and my remaining 3 juicing screens thank you. 🥹

There’s a reason this has been our community’s preferred choice for years.

We craft it using real cold-pressed ginger and turmeric, not powders or flavorings.

Instead, we use fresh ingredients, naturally fermented green tea, and live cultures. It’s one of those bottles that people keep coming back for, and we wouldn’t make it any other way. 💛

Looking for the larger share bottles? You’ll find it at Heyday (Park Triangle, Glorietta 4, Festival Mall), or directly from us. ✨

Doors open at 12 PM and we’re back at the Manila Coffee Festival. 💕

This is one of our favorite events to be part of. It’s where we get to share the fun side of fermentation with people who love coffee just as much as we do.

This year we’re bringing back two event specials:

Coffee Kombucha made with Negros Blend Barako and Cacao Kombucha made with Cacao from Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat made with beautiful ingredients from our friends at PHILIA.

A big thank you to SGD Coffee for inviting us back again this year. It means a lot to be part of a community that’s always curious, creative, and open to trying something new.

If you’re at the festival, come say hi. We’d love to pour you a cup. ✨

Find us at Booth R26 and at the Single Origin Bar.

Another VegFest survived 💛

We’ve been joining since 2019 and honestly one of my favorite parts now is seeing familiar faces every year.

Some of you first came to the booth just curious about kombucha, and now you come back with your usual orders, return bottles, bring friends, share life updates, or just stop by to say hi.

Also wanted to appreciate my tiny team because small business events are honestly SO much physical work behind the scenes.💕

And to everyone who came despite the weather trying to humble all of us 😭 Thank you talaga. We felt the love deeply this weekend 💛

Also huge thank you to the organizers and fellow merchants. We’ve been doing these events together for years already and it’s funny how many people started as strangers then slowly became friends.

Thank you for all the unseen work, patience, and care that goes into creating these spaces for small businesses and communities to exist 💕

I know everyone has their own style when it comes to kombucha and honestly that’s part of what makes it interesting.

For me, I just like making one that’s refreshing, balanced, properly fermented, and easy to enjoy until the last sip. Something you can casually drink, share with friends, pair with food, or finish on a hot day without fighting for your life halfway through the bottle.

I also think there’s beauty in restraint. Not everything needs to be louder, sharper, fizzier, or more extreme to be good. That’s always been part of our “drink good, feel good” philosophy 💕

Also side note — we genuinely LOVE getting returned bottles back 😭

ICYDK, glass bottles increased around 20–30% after the fuel crisis, so every bottle returned to us genuinely helps us reuse more, waste less, and continue trying our best not to keep increasing prices 💛

Anyway we’ll be a little slow replying while we recover physically and wash a truly unreasonable amount of returned glass bottles! 🤣💕🙏🏻

VegFest is back this weekend 🌿☀️

The longest running vegan festival in the PH and we’re bringing back our kombucha spritzers again 🍹

We’ve served these every year at VegFest and they’ve slowly become part of the ritual for a lot of people.

An ice cold gut loving spritzer after walking around in the heat, discovering new plant-based food, and spending the day with good people ✨

This year we’re also doing something special with our friends from OM Bakes 👀

A little something for the coffee lovers coming by the booth this weekend ☕️

We’ll also have a VegFest exclusive bottle bundle available all weekend long 💛

We’re also accepting empty Boochamama bottle returns at the booth if you have any at home waiting to come back to us ♻️

Come say hi, cool down for a bit, and spend the weekend with us!

Throwback to my first kombucha workshop 🫙✨

The world was just opening up again after lockdown, and honestly my anxiety was at its worst around this time. I remember being so nervous before this workshop and questioning if I could even do it.

But once we started talking about tea, fermentation, SCOBYs, flavors, all the little things I spent years learning through trial and error… it started feeling natural.

I’m still really grateful people showed up with so much curiosity and openness. Some attendees even still brew kombucha until now, which honestly means a lot to me. 🥹

I’ve never seen myself as an expert or someone who knows everything about kombucha. I’m honestly just very curious and passionate about making kombucha that tastes really good and is made safely and thoughtfully.

I think my years of kitchen work and food safety management naturally kicked in too, which made me approach fermentation with a lot of care and respect.

And maybe a little cheesy, but I genuinely believe the good energy you put into brewing somehow comes back into the kombucha too. ✨

I never expected my small kitchen experiments in Singapore would eventually turn into this.

Will I do workshops again someday? Maybe. Right now though, I respect how much energy it takes from me. And I’ve learned that protecting your energy is important too. 💕🌸

One of the best parts of wellness retreats is what happens after the session. People staying a little longer, relaxing into the moment, and sharing simple conversations over nourishing drinks. ✨

Really happy to have Boocha Mama included in the Riverside Yoga Retreat at The Preserve Tanay with Love Yoga Retreat, led by teacher Paulo Leonido. Thank you for creating such a warm and intentional space for everyone. 💛

Back by popular demand. ☀️

The wait is over.

Our Passionfruit brew is officially back for the summer!

It’s got that sharp, tropical tang and crisp bubble that hits just right when the Manila sun is doing its worst. It’s tart, zesty, and actually tastes like the fruit.

💡 Brewer’s Tip: To really crush the thirst, add a tiny pinch of Himalayan pink salt to your glass. It adds natural electrolytes to help you stay hydrated in this sweltering heat.

Grab a bottle (or six) before they’re gone again. 😉
