Ever since I came across this campsite on social media, itโs been on my bucket list. Iโm so happy to say that before 2025 ended, I finally got to cross it off my list, and it was absolutely worth it! ๐๐ป
The journey took almost four hours from Tacloban, and while the road was quite bumpy, (very bumpy!) the experience made every minute of travel worthwhile.
Even before we arrived, the staff already left a great impression! They were very accommodating, responsive to all our questions via Messenger, and clear in setting expectations ahead of time, which I really appreciated ๐ซถ๐ป
As a silent subscriber of the ownerโs YouTube channel, I already had an idea of what to expect, so I was beyond excited to finally experience the campsite in person! As a maarte girlie who usually prefers an en-suite toilet and bath, I initially thought using a common CR would be a deal breaker. Surprisingly, it wasnโt! The common restrooms were clean and well maintained, and you could tell they are cleaned daily, making them โจvery sanitaryโจ
The staff truly deserve special mention! They were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. Their smiles were contagious, and it was obvious that they genuinely enjoy what they do. If you have extra, I highly recommend tipping. Itโs a small way to give back for their exceptional service ๐๐ป
When my friends and I arrived, we didnโt bring any food and decided to rely solely on the restaurant inside the campsite. Honestly, I didnโt expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and very generous in serving size. We couldnโt even finish everything, (sorry for the tira-tira!๐ฌ). The prices were also reasonable and not overpriced at all. We even joked about whether they were still making a profit because of how generous the portions were ๐
Our accommodation was also great! We booked a cabin with a veranda, and the location was โจperfectโจ! It was close to the common CR, and right outside our cabin was a series of small falls or a flowing river. Falling asleep to the sound of running water felt like natural ASMR and gave us such a restful sleep ๐ด
Of course, the place itself was the highlight of the trip!! If youโre looking to relax, ground yourself, and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect escape ๐ Nature has always been my favorite way to unwind, and this place truly delivers that sense of peace ๐๐ค
Lastly, I want to commend the owner, Michelle Fox ๐๐ป Her passion for the campsite really shows! She listens to feedback from guests and even from comments on YouTube and Facebook. I admire her mindset and hands on approach to running the business. I was pleasantly surprised to see her personally serving our lunch upon arrival ๐ Such humility and dedication are truly admirable ๐๐ป๐๐ป
All in all, I highly recommend The Island Nature Spring to anyone looking to disconnect, recharge, and find peace. Nature truly does its thing here, and somehow it heals something inside you ๐ฟโจ
