PNP RESCUES THREE CHILDREN IN CAVITE ONLINE EXPLOITATION CASE; ONE SUSPECT ARRESTED
Three children, aged four to six years old, were safely rescued by operatives of the Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) in Cavite following a swift and coordinated operation against alleged online sexual exploitation, which also led to the arrest of one suspect during the implementation of a court-issued warrant.
The operation was carried out in Bacoor and Silang, Cavite on June 22, 2026, where law enforcement teams served a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data, coupled with a simultaneous victim location and rescue operation. The suspect, identified through alias “Arnel,” a 27-year-old male security guard and former neighbor of the victims, was arrested during the operation.
Authorities confirmed that appropriate charges have been filed for violations under Republic Act No. 11930 or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized that the successful operation reflects the organization’s intensified efforts to protect children and ensure that those who attempt to exploit them are held accountable.
“Ang ganitong klase ng operasyon ay malinaw na patunay na hindi tayo titigil sa pagprotekta sa kabataan. Sa ilalim ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., mas pinalalakas natin ang ating mga hakbang laban sa online abuse at lahat ng uri ng pang-aabuso sa kabataan,” he said.
He added that the PNP continues to strengthen its operational focus in line with its Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, ensuring that law enforcement actions are swift, coordinated, and victim-centered.
The PNP assured the public that rescued children have been placed under proper care and protection, while follow-up investigations are ongoing to identify possible links and prevent further exploitation.
This operation underscores the government’s sustained drive for safer communities, aligned with the vision of a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
