My current passion is bags of all kinds. I like to choose fabrics that I love - quirky and cute, occasionally retro, usually bright and colourful. I cannot commit to one style as I love so many - rockabilly, retro, shabby, funky - just all sorts. Therefore, I just make what I like and hope someone out there likes it too! So this is my little denim swing jacket ready for its pockets.

I prefer the indigo colour of the original, but when I got it home I realised it would be really simple to replicate and I had some lightweight denim in my stash (almost but not enough - hence the contrast under collar and the pieced and slightly shorter sleeves. There's also a couple of fabric flaws but I had to use those bits) I finally used that topstitch thread I've had for aaaages!

The sewists amongst you may also note I sewed the sleeves on back to front. I did not notice this until too late in the day and it's still wearable! I don't know how I managed that when it was me that made it up. Hey ho.

I shall make the pockets up once embroidery is finished and sew them on.

Second one in progress. Can you tell what these are going to be yet? Clue: they are a practical addition to any garment ...

So this is what I made with the Celeste viscose crepe from Fabric Godmother

Because I've made it one before I knew exactly what I was doing so it was a really quick sew. The only thing I changed was to make the pockets wider as they are strangely skinny.

Really comfy chuck it on jumpsuit. I also remembered to prewash this fabric as viscose crepe has a tendency to shrink.
