TG Asks 🎙️

Audiophile or Simple Listener?

One listens for the quality of sounds, the equipment, the system, the details, the way everything comes together.

The other simply listens to music — not the gears, not the specifications, not the setup. Just the music.

Which one are you?🎶

“…ang gunita ng ating kahapon”

Let us guide our children well… we, not anybody else. Let us pass on the values we grew up with, the values that shaped us, and the values we still carry with us today.

There was once a great man who believed deeply in the Filipino.

A man who stood against power, endured imprisonment, returned knowing the danger that awaited him, and ultimately gave his life in the service of his country.

We need people like him in government again.

People who understand that public office is a responsibility. People who are willing to stand, to fight, and to sacrifice for the Filipino people, not simply occupy a position of power.

On this day, his words still speak to us:

“I have asked myself many times: Is the Filipino worth suffering, or even dying, for? Is he not a coward who would readily yield to any colonizer, be he foreign or homegrown? Is a Filipino more comfortable under an authoritarian leader because he does not want to be burdened with the freedom of choice? Is he unprepared, or worse, ill-suited for presidential or parliamentary democracy? I have carefully weighed the virtues and the faults of the Filipino and I have come to the conclusion that he is worth dying for because he is the nation’s greatest untapped resource.”

The Filipino is still worth fighting for.

And perhaps what we need most today are leaders who believe that deeply enough to serve us with courage, integrity, and sacrifice.

With the weather today, we’ve decided to keep TG Café closed for everyone’s safety.

Sorry, Wanderers. We’ll see you again when the skies clear.

Stay safe, stay dry, and take care.

A Prayer for Our Young

Heavenly Father, we lift our children and young people to You.

In a world filled with so many voices, influences, and distractions, protect their hearts and minds from anything that may lead them away from goodness, compassion, truth, and faith.

Lord, give our young the wisdom to recognize what is right, the strength to turn away from what is harmful, and the courage to stand firm in their values even when the world tells them otherwise.

And remind us, as parents and guardians, that guiding them is not only about telling them what to do. It is about being present, listening to them, spending time with them, knowing what influences them, teaching them, and most importantly, helping them build a relationship with You.

May we make our homes places where faith is lived, not merely spoken. May our children learn to pray, to seek You when they are lost, and to know that Your love is always greater than the darkness they may encounter.

Give parents the patience to understand, the wisdom to guide, and the courage to protect. Let us never be so busy that we fail to notice when our children need us.

Lord, watch over our young. Guard their hearts. Guide their steps. Strengthen their faith.

And may we, as parents, families, and a community, never stop leading them closer to You.

For in a world that can sometimes be confusing and dark, may they always know where to turn…home, to those who love them, and above all, to God.

🙏 Amen.

Rain has a way of making us slow down.

For a while, there’s nowhere else to be. Just the sound of rain outside, a good cup of coffee, and a record spinning in the background.

Coffee. Rain. Music. = Life.

There’s not much we can do but pause, say a little prayer, and hope everyone is okay.

To all our Wanderers and everyone out there affected by the floods and this relentless weather, please take care, stay somewhere safe, and look after one another.

From our little corner of TG, we’re thinking of you. 🤎

Keep safe. Keep dry. See you on the other side of the rain. 🌧️☕️🎶
