Handmade Bouquet was not really a business at the start. It was an outlet.
An outlet for expressing my raw emotions—grief, yearning, longing, despair, sadness, and loneliness. It was me presenting myself as an organized chaos. Something built from confusion, trial and error, slowly turning into an aesthetic blend of colors and emotions.
I never really considered myself an artist. I only saw my works as the outcome of my long thoughts, with the mindset: “At least I’ve done something today. At least I accomplished something today.” And somehow, it came with a profit too. A win-win.
I’ve always loved being creative. I remember getting a 97 grade in Cookery class because of my paper folding scrapbook project. 🤷🏻♀️ I never imagined that this little creative side of mine would become something I’d continue doing for years.
Making people excited about my work was never something I expected. Seeing their eyes light up, widen with excitement, and watching them react as if they had won a lottery—that changed my perspective.
I used to think flowers were only for funerals. But I learned they were something far greater. They were for celebrations, for milestones, for making someone’s day brighter, and sometimes, for giving someone a reason to keep going.
And to the people who became part of this story—thank you.
To those who have been there since day one, those who supported me quietly, those who offered a helping hand, those who gave emotional support when I needed it, and those who allowed me to experience so many firsts through this journey—thank you.
Thank you for trusting my hands, for appreciating my creations, and for becoming a part of something that started as something so personal to me.
It has been wonderful years of on-and-off business hours. The funny thing is, sometimes I forget whether I’m running a business or simply enjoying my solitude while creating.
Maybe it’s both.
Either way, it’s a win.
A beautiful contradiction. A conflicted feeling. A paradox.
It has been amazing—and terrifying at the same time.
Happy belated anniversary, Handmade Bouquet. 🤍🌷
