According to a new report from Bloomberg, Huawei might be looking to sell off its x86 server division. The news comes from people familiar with the matter and is yet to be confirmed by Huawei. The insider scoop claims that the US sanctions imposed on Huawei have been detrimental to its server supply chain and are thus forcing the company to sell off this side of its business.

According to reports, Huawei will sell its server division to a Chinese consortium of private and public sector companies. Henan Information Industry Investment and Huaqin Technology are two of the companies attempting to acquire Huawei's server-side business. We'll keep you informed of any new developments regarding this topic.

TENAA has released details for the new Xiaomi phone (model number 21091116AC). And now we have the first Geekbench results. Is it Redmi Note 11? Poco M4 Pro? The model number is associated with both, but we'll talk about that later. The chipset (MT6833P) is said to be the Dimensity 810, which was announced with the 920. The 6nm chip has two Cortex A76 cores operating at 2.4 GHz and six A*5 cores operating at 2.0 GHz. This corresponds to the data from Geekbench. It also has a MaliG57 MC2 GPU and a 5G modem (sub 6 GHz). This is consistent with rumors about Vanilla Redmi Note 11.

The phone had 8GB of RAM, which is just one of many possible configurations listed in TENAA (although the FCC has only tested 4 / 64GB and 8 / 128GB). Hmm). Other details include a 6.6-inch display, a 33W rechargeable 4,900mAh battery, and a 16MP camera. I've seen rumors about a 50MP camera on the M4 Pro.

Sony's new Xperia Pro -I is priced at € 1,799 in Europe. If you live in the United States, you'll have to spend $ 1,800 to buy, but the vlog monitor costs an additional $ 200. In the United States, pre-orders will start on October 28th and shipping will start on December 10th. The Sony Xperia Pro- I is based on a 6.5-inch OLED screen with 120 Hz and a resolution of 3,840 x 1,644 pixels and is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11, and it's unclear when Android 12 will be released.

For photography, there is an 8 MP selfie shooter on the front and three 12 MP cameras (main, ultra-wide-angle, telephoto lens) on the back. The body uses the same 1-inch camera sensor as Sony's RX100 VII compact camera, but is optimized for smartphones. In addition, a variable aperture can be obtained with the main body from f / 2.0 to f. Enough / 4.0 telemodule is behind the 50mm lens and provides 2x optical zoom. Ultra-wide cameras, on the other hand, enable recording with a field of view of 124 °. The Sony Xperia Pro-I features an in-display fingerprint scanner, has an NFC chip on board, and packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 30W charging support.

Oppo has long been rumoured to be working on its first foldable smartphone, which was always expected to arrive this year. And, while it did not launch in the first half of 2021, as some rumours suggested, it is still expected to be official before the end of the year.

In fact, according to the most recent Chinese rumour, the foldable phone will be unveiled in November. It will allegedly have an 8" foldable internal display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and LTPO technology, implying that it will be manufactured by Samsung. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is an unusual move given the timing - the successor to the 888 is expected to be unveiled in December, with one or two phones for the Chinese market running it already becoming official by the end of this year.

Anyway, the source of today's rumour also suggests that Oppo's foldable won't be cheap, which isn't surprising. We should also note that there has been no mention of whether or not this device will be made available globally. It's safe to assume it'll be available in China, but we'll have to wait and see if it, like Xiaomi's Mix 4, is limited to that market or if it gets a wider release.

Previous rumours suggested that the Oppo foldable would have a 50 MP main rear camera with Sony's IMX766 sensor, a 32 MP selfie camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Recently, there has been some back-and-forth regarding the charging speed of the highest-end variant of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Initially, it was thought that this model and the S22 Plus would provide faster charging than the current generation, which has a maximum charging power of 25W, but this was allegedly contradicted by a regulatory authority.

Ice Universe, a well-known industry insider, remains adamant that at least the Galaxy S22 Ultra will support 45W charging. He emphasises that the phone will have a large 5,000mAh battery and will only take 35 minutes to charge to 70%.

22/10/2021

LG Display, according to the Korean website TheElec, has begun developing "Under Display Camera" (UDC) technology for use in smartphones and tablets. This technology has already been seen in the ZTE Axon 30 5G and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The current iteration of under-display camera technology relies on covering the hole required for the selfie camera with another tiny display. Its resolution and pixel density differ significantly from the main one, resulting in a noticeable patch.

Another report, this time from the Chinese media mydrivers, coincides strangely with the information shared by the Korean sources. According to the report, Apple is attempting to strike a deal with LG in order to obtain hole-punch displays for the next-generation iPhone 14 Pro devices. The information is allegedly coming from Chinese supply chain sources, so take it with a grain of salt.

However, it is clear that LG's goal of rapid development is ideal for Apple if the Cupertino company wants to cut ties with Samsung Display and source its perforated screens from another vendor. Buying displays from LG also means that Apple won’t pour money into the pocket of its main rival, and it’d be pretty safe from a market share point of view, especially after LG decided to call it quits and exit the smartphone market altogether.

Huawei's nova 9 has made its way to the global stage nearly a month after its announcement in China, as part of the company's in-person event in Vienna. Unfortunately, it is not joined by the larger nova 9 Pro, which is still only available in China.

The Nova 9 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset, 8GB RAM, and 128/256GB storage, as well as a curved 6.57-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 4,300 mAh battery with 66W charging. The primary camera on the back has a 50MP RYYB sensor, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and two 2MP auxiliary modules for macro shots and depth data. On the software front, EMUI 12 runs on top of Android 11 and lacks Google Mobile Services.

The Huawei Nova 9 is available in Black and Starry Blue and costs €499. During the first year, Huawei will replace a broken screen for free. Pre-sales begin later today and include a free pair of FreeBuds 4 earphones, with regular sales beginning later this month.

After months of leaks and a couple of weeks of previews that left almost no secrets, Google's Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are official. Unlike last year's mid-range hardware, the new Pixels offer top-notch specs that focus on performance, intelligence, and photography.
Starts with the specially developed tensioner chip by Google. The 5nm SoC has an octa-core processor with two full high-performance CortexX1 cores, the first phone with more than one. There are also two mid-tier and four energy-efficient cores. The custom image processor takes computer photography to a new level on Pixel 6 phones.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is bigger and has several noticeable advantages over the Pixel 6. Its screen is larger at 6.7-inches, sharper at 1440p, and refreshes faster at 120Hz. It's an LTPO AMOLED that will offer variable refresh rate to preserve battery. In comparison, the Pixel 6 has a far more pedestrian 6.4-inch 1080p AMOLED with an up to 90Hz refresh rate. Both phones are covered with Gorilla Glass Victus, but the Pixel 6 Pro's display is curvier, Google calls it 3D glass. Both have built-in fingerprint scanners, presumably optical.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro has a polished aluminum frame and comes in three colorways - Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny, Stormy Black - and in two memory configurations - 12/128GB, 12/256GB and even a 12/512GB. Prices start at €898 in Europe and $899 in the US.

The Google Pixel 6 has a textured aluminum frame and is also available for pre-order, in three colors - Sorta Seafoam, Kinda Coral, Stormy Black - and in 8/128GB and 8/256GB memory tiers, starting at €649 and $599. Pre-orders for both phones are already open with first shipments expected on October 28.

Apple today unveiled its latest two computer-centric ARM-based Systems OnaChips (SOCs), the M1 Pro and M1 Max. Compared to the M1, which debuted last November, these have a 70% CPU performance. In terms of graphics, the difference is even more noticeable as the M1 Pro's GPU is 2x faster than the M1's. while the GPU of the M1 Max is up to 4 times faster than that of the M1.

The M1 Pro and M1 Max are built in a 5nm process. The M1 Pro has a new 10-core CPU with eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. "Compared to the latest 8-core laptop chip," says Apple, the M1 Pro offers up to 1.7 times more CPU performance with the same level of performance and reaches the maximum performance of the PC chip with up to 70 % less electricity.

The M1 Pro has up to a 16-core GPU that is said to be "up to 7 times faster than the integrated graphics on the latest 8-core laptop chip." And compared to "a powerful discrete GPU for notebook PCs", the M1 Pro offers "more power with up to 70% less power consumption". The M1 Max has the same CPU as the M1 Pro, but adds a "massive" 32-core GPU. All this adds up to 57 billion transistors, 70% more than the M1 Pro and 3.5 times more than the M1. This makes the M1 Max the largest chip Apple has ever built. The GPU "offers performance that is comparable to a high-end GPU in a compact professional laptop or PC and consumes up to 40% less power", as well as "similar performance to the high-end GPU in the most large Laptops with up to 100 W less power, "Apple said.

Both the M1 Pro and M1 Max have a 16-core neural engine to accelerate on-device machine learning and improved camera performance, a new display engine to control multiple external displays, and additional built-in Thunderbolt 4 drivers for even more. I / O bandwidth, Apple's custom image signal processor that works with the Neural Engine to use computer video to improve image quality for sharper videos and more natural-looking skin tones on the built-in we**am, and Apple's latest Secure Enclave, hardware verified secure boot and runtime anti-exploit technology.
