The woman I am, with the child I was. 🌼
"To the little girl in my arms,
I wish I could take away every cruel word you ever heard, every moment you felt less than, every time someone made you believe your worth depended on how you looked or how perfect you performed.
I wish I could protect you from the bullies who mocked you for being chubby, from those who called you a nerd just because you excelled, from the people—friends, family, and strangers—who should have loved you but instead left scars.
You were just a child, and you deserved joy, not wounds. You deserved to be celebrated, not silenced. You deserved softness, not battles.
But even though I couldn’t shield you then, I’m here now. I’m holding you, I see you, I love you.
Everything you went through made me who I am today, but if I could, I would go back and tell you:
You were always enough.
You were always worthy. And you didn’t have to earn love—you already deserved it.
I’ve got you now, and I promise I’ll never let you feel alone again."
