Noticed tiny dots inside your phone’s camera when using portrait mode? Don’t worry. 📸

This is actually a manufacturing fault from Apple’s side, not a defect or damage, and it’s completely normal. Unless the dots are excessive or the phone shows signs of being opened or repaired, there’s nothing to be concerned about.

So when buying a phone, if you spot a few minor dots but the phone is still water-packed with intact screws, go ahead and buy it. Don’t let a couple of camera dots stop you from getting a good phone.

Thinking about getting camera rings on your iPhone? Don’t. 🚫

A lot of people buy a new iPhone and the first thing they do is get camera rings installed. The problem shows up later, when you go to sell the phone and remove the ring, the coating underneath comes off with it, leaving visible damage.

The smarter move: a good protector, a screen sheet, and a solid cover. That gives your phone complete protection without any risk, unless you’re planning to throw the phone away eventually, which nobody smart does.

Skip the camera rings.

Is your iPhone “boosted” (cloned) or original? Here’s a quick trick to check.

If you have an iPhone 12, 13, or 14 series phone still running on iOS 18, that’s actually a good sign. Boosted (fake) phones are usually forced onto the latest update, currently 26.5.5.2, they can’t stay on an older version like a genuine phone can.

So if your 12/13/14 is sitting on iOS 18 and not force-updated, there’s roughly a 90% chance it’s original.

That said, some judgment always comes from experience, and at some point, you do have to trust the person you’re buying from.

Confused between Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 13? Here’s the honest breakdown 👇

Both phones are priced almost identically, you’ll find them in the 115,000-120,000 range.

If you’re already deep into the Apple ecosystem, stick with it, switching away usually leaves people missing it. But if you’re an Android user looking for something fresh and different, the Pixel 8 Pro is one of the best devices you can get, especially with its smooth 120Hz display.

A bonus perk? Google Pay works seamlessly anywhere in Pakistan, and you can use it on any Android device.

eSIM or physical SIM, which one should you choose?

eSIM phones are comparatively cheaper in Pakistan, with a difference of roughly 20,000-30,000 rupees on bigger models like the iPhone 17 series.

If your phone is ever stolen, an eSIM can’t be removed like a traditional SIM card, it stays stored inside the device, adding an extra layer of security. It’s also far more convenient to use.

Apple’s biggest eSIM advantage shows up in the 17 Pro Max, where the eSIM variant has a slightly bigger battery than the physical SIM version. That said, the difference isn’t large enough to actually improve battery performance in real use.

Myth: Low Power Mode destroys your iPhone’s battery.

Fact: It’s completely false, and it’s actually one of Apple’s best built-in features.

If you’re using iPhone 13 Pro or newer, turning on Low Power Mode drops the screen refresh rate from 120Hz to 60Hz, cutting battery consumption significantly. It also pauses iCloud syncing and controls background app refresh, helping your battery last much longer.

There’s no drawback to it. It’s an Apple feature designed to help you, not harm you.

Got a budget of PKR 50,000–65,000? Here’s the smart choice 👇

In this range, buying an iPhone isn’t worth it. But if you want a PTA-approved phone, Google is the way to go.

Why? Because Google makes both the hardware and software, the OS is entirely their own, which is exactly why these phones are so fast and smooth.

Even the older Pixel 3A and 4A are still running perfectly for people today. So in this budget, don’t look anywhere else.

Our recommendation: Google Pixel 6A or 7A and make your life easier.

Thinking about upgrading your Google Pixel? Here’s the honest answer.

If you’re on Pixel 6 or 7, YES, it’s worth moving up to Pixel 8. You’ll notice better speed, improved stability, and a cooler-running, sleeker design.

But if you’re already on Pixel 8 or a newer model, there isn’t a major processor difference, no need to rush an upgrade.

Save your money where it makes sense, and upgrade only when it truly adds value.
