The book brings together 14 Oriental tales, drawing on the storytelling traditions associated with the Arab and wider Eastern world. The stories include elements of adventure, magic, wonder, legendary characters and traditional folklore-with subjects such as Sinbad and magical episodes appearing among the material.

A particularly interesting aspect of this edition is its illustration. It contains 78 wood engravings, along with 8 full page plates, illustrated by the French artist Marcel-Pierre Ruty. The illustrations are an important part of the book's character and reflect the early 20th century French fascination with the visual world of the "Orient."

Reprinted by Al-Biruni in 1976 in two volumes.

Originally published in 1911, Mutiny Reports from Punjab & N.W.F.P. brings together official reports relating to the events of the Indian Rebellion of 1857-58 in Punjab and the North West Frontier. The reports provide contemporary administrative and military documentation concerning the situation at various regimental headquarters and the British response to the uprising, including the mobilisation of troops and the raising of Sikh regiments in support of the British administration.

The two volume Al-Biruni edition was reprinted in Lahore in 1976, preserving these early twentieth century records as an important documentary source for the study of the 1857 uprising and the political and military history of Punjab and the North West Frontier.

Condition: The binding is intact and the pages as you can see in the pictures are very good. Though, the volume one, can be seen in the attached image, shows the sign-some kind of damage on the dust jacket. Similarly on the front board too. Other than this, the pages remain in very good condition.

A History of Muslim Philosophy is an extensive scholarly survey of Muslim intellectual history, covering the development of philosophy and related disciplines from the early centuries of Islam through the modern period.
