During the 54th National Flat-Picking Championships at the , the winner will have the opportunity to take home a Bułas F-style mandolin! More details will be revealed closer to, but for now- get signed up, get to practicing and get those chops and licks down for some heavy picking in September!

When I said more 2-points a few posts ago, I wasn’t kidding! The abalone pearl inlay on the headstock really shines through on this one. The James tailpiece is pretty cool, too. 🤠

Octave A-Style oval holes? We’ve got them! The first to come out of our shop, specially ordered by . A new sound with our classic shape, featuring flamed maple all throughout, finely seasoned spruce tops and ebony capped nickel hardware.

Two few “firsts” captured in one photo. An oval hole 2-point, and an oval hole octave mandolin. And wow, is there a difference is sound on these babies. We hope to catch a sound sample or two from them soon, but lately we’re pushing out back orders and don’t have the luxury to stop and play- for now!

Check out this fully customized Echo Valley model banjo that came out of the shop this week! Who can quickly name the wood type used here before reading onto the next sentence? Pomelle Sapele is the name- reminiscent of mahogany but darker in tone and with a distinctive figuring. It literally shimmers under light. Generally it’s been used as a mahogany substitute but due to its high density and interlocked grain, it can make machining and working the wood a bit difficult. What do ya’ll think of this take on the Echo Valley?

As for an update on us- we’ve got a lot more 2-points coming as well as orders stocked up for the rest of the year. Slowly but surely, the weather is warming up. We’ve got the doors open and don’t have to run the fireplace throughout the day anymore!

Bułas on stage- yet again! And this was a big one for us here in Poland. Our Karolina Bułas Music and her band- Caroline & the Lucky Ones performed a legendary hit on stage at the Wolsztyn Czyste Country Festival (Wolsztyn Clean Country, for anyone who wants a translation 🤠).
