A year of silence in the workshop…
Sounds like the start of a bad joke, but unfortunately it was very real — and not funny at all.
No sugarcoating — this wasn’t a time of inspiration or big projects.
Not because I lost the drive to make knives. Life just hit me hard.
Somewhere along the way I caught covid, and it left me with some “souvenirs” in my heart and lungs.
Three months completely out of the game — no work, no energy, barely functioning.
And then a long stretch where even getting off the couch felt like running uphill in full gear.
No romance in that.
It wasn’t looking good.
The mindset was simple: get through another day and don’t become part of the stats where we — men — unfortunately lead the charts.
But
I’m slowly coming back. And that’s what matters most.
The workshop is starting to breathe again, the tools aren’t collecting dust anymore, and interestingly — the ideas never left. If anything, they’ve been stacking up.
I’ve got new kitchen projects coming, but also something completely different than before.
Something that actually started my whole journey with knives — and has always been the goal 💪👊
Huge thanks to everyone who reached out, checked if I was still alive, and asked where the hell their knives were 🤪
I’m getting back to work. Slowly, step by step — doesn’t matter how fast, what matters is the direction ✌️
