Mystic Festival 2026 is officially behind us and what a ride that was.
This year we were on site as Silent Scream Guitars, working as guitar techs and supporting bands whenever things got real. From quick string changes, setups and fixing straplocks, to all kinds of last minute saves, there was never a dull moment.
Some situations were… less standard. One of the highlights was definitely removing a tuning key completely flooded with cyanoacrylate glue from SIX FEET UNDER’s guitarist. Somehow, it worked.
We also had a few proper crisis moments when bands lost their gear at the airport. In those situations, our guitars went straight on stage with MARDUK and MARTYRDÖD. Seeing our instruments in the hands of bands like that is something we will not forget anytime soon.
The biggest honor for us was BILLY KELLIHER from MASTODON choosing to buy one of our guitars and actually playing it live during the show. That moment alone made the whole trip worth it.
Huge thanks to all the bands, tech crews and organizers for the trust, great atmosphere and countless good conversations. Mystic is not just about music, it is about people and shared passion.
Also big thanks to Maurycy and Steven from Daddario for hooking us up with strings and workshop essentials.

“Counter” by Path of Resistance is, to me, the essence of what straight edge is supposed to be - not a passive “no”, but an active stand against everything that tries to shape and break us. From the very beginning it is about schools, peers and media trying to force a false identity on us, and about our responsibility to consciously reject that and carve out our own path.

This song is a manifesto: we do not have to be products of pressure, habits and self‑destruction - we can be the counterforce, living proof that it is possible to live differently, with compassion and responsibility. “Counter” is a reminder that every single day is a choice: either you let yourself be pushed into someone else’s narrative, or you stand in opposition and take full responsibility for your life and your values.

We built a guitar for Scott Crouse from Earth Crisis.
This one means a lot to me - Earth Crisis completely changed the way I see the world over 30 years ago. Because of them, I became vegan straight edge.

The guitar was built exactly to Scott’s specs: swamp ash body, maple neck with a reversed headstock, and a Macassar ebony fingerboard. It’s got an Evertune bridge and a DiMarzio Tone Zone pickup.

Honestly, it’s a huge honor for me to build an instrument for someone who had such a big impact on my life.
