„When a hobby becomes something more”

I was supposed to become an architect. That was the path I followed, the one that felt clear and expected.

Ceramics appeared quietly. It was meant to be just a pause, something temporary, something on the side.
But working with clay started to shift something in me. The pace, the process, the feeling of creating with my hands made me question everything I thought I had planned.

There was no single turning point. Just small decisions, taken step by step, without full certainty.
I have learned that building something does not always start with a perfect plan. It often begins with the need to create and to try yourself in something new.

What holds us back is rarely a lack of skill, but fear. Fear of judgment, of losing stability, of admitting that something no longer fits.

Changing direction does not mean failure. It does not erase what came before. Everything we learn stays with us and returns in unexpected ways.

Today MUAS is no longer a side path. It has become my work, my space, and a journey that keeps evolving.

Sometimes the side path turns out to be the right one.

Lately I’ve been giving myself more space.
Less planning, more feeling. More experimenting and seeing what happens when I truly let go of control.

It’s a form that doesn’t pretend to be perfect — soft, organic, a little wild.
The flowers and snakes appeared spontaneously, as if they wanted to surface on their own.
Finger marks, irregularities, the lack of “perfection” — for me, that’s the record of the process, not a flaw.

The vase is bisque fired — still absorbent, still close to its raw nature.
That’s why it lives together with whatever I place inside it.

For me, it’s a glimpse of what’s coming next.
More botanical forms. More growth. More experimentation.
More blooming.

NEW FORM of OYSTER inspired by the elongated silhouette of a classic oyster. More regular, with softened proportions, rounded lines, and gently raised edges, it takes on an elegant, feminine character — subtle, balanced, and refined.

The color palette of this collection is inspired by shifting dunes, sun-warmed sand, and the quiet vastness of the Sahara. Soft beiges, warm caramels, and pearly whites blend together like wind-shaped landscapes — smooth, layered, and endlessly calm.

Subtle transitions between matte and glossy surfaces evoke the meeting of dry sand and shallow, crystal-clear water, where light reveals delicate textures beneath the surface. There is a quiet luminosity here — like the inside of a shell, gently reflecting light with a soft, natural glow.

The platter’s organic, flowing form mirrors the rhythm of dunes and the irregular edges of shells shaped by time. It feels both grounded and fluid — a balance between earth and water.

This piece carries the warmth of sunlit horizons and the stillness of desert air, bringing into your space a sense of softness, depth, and understated elegance.

Beauty matters, but for us it must emerge from function.

MUAS cups were created with the everyday ritual of drinking coffee and infusions in mind. Their proportions, weight and balance in the hand are carefully designed to feel natural in use. The shape gently guides the aroma and temperature of the drink, allowing you to focus on what matters most — the taste.

An important part of the design is also the way the porcelain flows over the form. Subtle, fluid transitions of the brown porcelain and its matte texture work in harmony with the vessel’s shape. They do not dominate the form. They do not try to attract attention by force. Instead, they create a calm, organic surface that over time is understood primarily through touch.

This is ceramics that does not shout from the shelf.
Rather, it invites you to pick it up, hold it, and use it.

Before the cups reach your homes, they pass the most demanding test: daily work in MUAS COFFEE. Our café is the first place where their durability and ergonomics are tested — hundreds of services a day, hot coffee, constant movement.

The minimalist, timeless form of the DUNE collection creates a quiet presence in the café space. It does not dominate the interior, but becomes a natural part of it — a background for conversations, the aroma of coffee and everyday rituals.

Because a good object should not only look good.

What do you see when you look at these cups?
A distant horizon. A line of mountains. Wind moving across dunes.

When we started working on the new Dirty Pink color for the DUNE collection, these landscapes were somewhere in the background of my mind. Not as literal images, but as impressions — layers of earth, shifting sands and quiet horizons.

The process of pouring porcelain always carries a certain unpredictability. Colors meet, blend and separate in their own rhythm. Dusty pink moves through smoky chocolate browns, interrupted by bands of black and open fields of white. In the kiln these layers settle almost like geological strata shaped by time and movement.

No two pieces can ever repeat the same pattern.
Each cup becomes its own landscape.
